Jason Bunyan

Recommended Posts

The farce of the averages system. Jason Bunyan is a good scoring rider now - temporarily I hope - without a team place while teams include those riders of lower average AND ABILITY to meet the "averages set for clubs criteria".

No wonder the National Press doesn't take the sport seriously.

Only last night I was talking with the regulars down the pub.

Oh how they laughed. And mocked.

Speedway! Pah! What a stupid sport.

As they all expressed outrage at the plight of Jason Bunyan.

Meanwhile, in Wapping a meeting of Red Top editors shelved their plans for blanket speedway coverage.

'Jason Bunyan' was the only name on their lips.

Sometimes it needs a keen mind to bring the true woes of the sport into proper perspective.

Is Jason Bunyan going to be Riding this Year?

What average Would he Be On if he will be riding?

Wanted to ride but couldn't afford the air fair from NZ, trying to set up a fund to make it happen, first class flight is 4k

Thank you for the specific answer re Jason Bunyan.

he's back in June and will go straight in the Panthers team, well that was the rumour doing the rounds at p&p day so I hear....it never really happened for him at Rye House, was very surprised he went there as he's more suited to big tracks, could easily put a point or two on his average at Pboro.

Jason Finished at Rye House on 4.66 so "IF" the rumours are true I could only see him replacing Adam Roynon 4.78 unless one of the reserves sticks a point or so on their average....

Not so. From May 1st average used 20 meetings and not 28. If you did last 20 meetings now, Roynon would be 4.25 and Lambert would be 4.40. Only needs a couple of decent meetings from Lambert to go over the 4.66 needed.
