Coventry V Leicester 20 March Emb 2nd Leg

Recommended Posts

If the chairman of the SCB did ask you that ,(which I don't believe for 1 second ) that just shows how out of touch with reality the powers that control our sport are .No wonder speedway is on the slippery slope .. the chairman of the conrolling body of tiddywinks would know exactly what was happening at all the winkers venues .. but the Chairman of the SCB has to ask a supporter who was obviously identified by his red and yellow Bobble hat and scarf and other 80.s paraphernalia

Excuse me but I do not tell lies and I had just a red & yellow scarf on, no badges and no bobble hat. I am not that much of a clipboard. I aske the man who he was and he had an SCB tie on.

So who is the chairman of the SCB....save me trying to find out?

Also if I had been a Leicester fan, I would not have been impressed that their captain could not be arsed to go out and receive the trophy with the other riders.

Very poor of Doyle being as he is the captain.

Mickelson has a broken foot and needs an op on Monday.

Get Well soon !!

Shame about Mickelson and I hope he is fit again soon. It's quite hard to see over the air fence whilst sitting down so I didn't really see what happened to him but someone said afterwards that he was clipped by Jason's bike.

Yes when Doyle got out of control, Mikkel couldn't avoid his bike

Must have missed heat 13 then, and Auty was getting stuck in for most of his rides, same could be said for Robbo & Wozniak. Harris was having a good go at Walasek early in the meeting but he's a quick rider when he gates, it's not easy to pass him.

I've been to all of the EL tracks apart from Lakeside, a few of the PL tracks, and a few more tracks that are no longer with us. I would love to know where these tracks are with great racing & passing in every heat because I've yet to find them.

How did Auty ride?what sort of season lies ahead for him dean1?

Should be one of the top reserves this year, he did well on Friday night, gave it 100% and was in the mix for a few more points.

I expect he will score plenty of points against the other reserves and should pick up a few against the second strings too, having Auty is great news for Leicester as you need at least one good reserve to have any chance in this league.

No suprise with Doyles attitiude. Never did laps at Leicester to acknowledge crowd after he'd won a heat last year. When I asked him why he said he was to tired after a race ! Couldnt turn up at Poole on time for an away meeting........So no suprise he shot off... Great rider but not very good at the PR side

I believe Auty suffered last year by not having anough meeting's to really keep race sharpness. For me he is one of the most exciting racers about,as someone else pointed out i hope at times he just settles for his place and excepts his position. But his never say/die attitude is one of the reasons i admire him as a rider.Leicester i have never been there is it a technical track? if so Josh can improve as a rider as we all know at the big tracks full throttle tracks he can be a match for anyone at PL level. And looking back three years ago, he did pretty well as a top five rider for the Brum.

was it Tony Gillias ?

I think so

Not exactly how it happened. He ran into Jason Doyle's bike, the bike did not hit him. Somehow Stuart Robson, who was in front Of Michel Michelsen at the time, managed to avoid it.

Really? One heat? I must have been at a different meeting as I thought there were some good races, plus some mediocre ones like in all matches. Not bad at all for the first match of the season and like someone has already said it wasn't Coventry riders fault that they were gating a bit better than usual so Leicester couldn't catch up. They should have gone a bit faster and challenged. As Robert72 has liked your post I presume he was there but strangely enough he didn't bother to come round to meet Lucy. Disappointed. :(

By the way what was wrong with Doyle in his last two races? He looked decidedly not bothered as he trundled round at the back.

Yes I went & it wasn't a good advert for speedway, it was ultra slick and fairly boring.

As for jamrog, it's a shame they don't give British riders the same chances like him & other sub standard foreigners get here,I don't see many British riders of his standard getting rides abroad.

Gem I didn't see anyone with a dog there
