mdmc82
Sorry Jamrog has been pitched in as a make believe replacement for the Pawlicks's etc, sorry Mick at the end of this season I can't see him Improving enough to help the Bees into a top level position. It's not fair on the guy if he was British he would just about make a reserve placement. He has no chance making it at Elite level (at the moment) and if we are to compete he will have to be replaced, he was off the pace. In time he could develop but not now. Three Poles on display by far he was in third place, early as it is if we have ambitions he needs replacing ASAHave to agree. You could see he really was trying but was off the pace by a lot and we will come up against stronger teams and reserve pairings. At the moment it's like being a 6 man team. I wonder if Horton spoke to Ulamek as he always rides well for coventry. Also Buzz, Nermark. (Maybe Sundstrom if still fits once averages change) Mikkel has said on Twitter that they think his foot is broken somewhere but he will know more after seeing a specialist 😞 Edited March 21, 2015 by mdmc82
mdmc82
I think if there is plenty of dirt on the track then josh may have the upper hand. The reserves were a big difference last night. Auty is very good at Leicester but think may struggle against some reserves away from home. Was made to look average last night on the track he knows best in the league. Lambert really out of his depth.

TMW
The reserves were a big difference last night. Auty is very good at Leicester but think may struggle against some reserves away from home. Was made to look average last night on the track he knows best in the league. Lambert really out of his depth. It's difficult to get past Jason when he has the bit in his teeth. Once upon a time Auty would have been in the fence trying. Good to see he is settling for the team points rather than the individual glory Lambert looked out of kilter last night. He'll get sorted!!! Woz01
Garrity and Sarjeant will dominate most meetings at Brandon this season. Lambert will do ok for Leicester but number 7s in general will find it tough at Brandon. I hope the doom and gloom has been lifted. Apart from Jamrog it was a very good performance. oleoleole
Talk is cheap. Action appears to be a bit harder. On January 20th Coventry speedway released this statement regarding the fixture clash with #RICO's meeting at Lakeside; "The second leg at Brandon takes place on the Bees’ regular Friday race-night, at the same time as the Lee Richardson 'Remembering #Rico' meeting at Lakeside. Coventry Speedway wish to place on record the fact that everyone at the club has the utmost respect for Lee’s achievements in the sport, and for his family, and we are sure the Purfleet event will be the success it deserves to be. The scheduling of our opening fixture against Leicester is in no way intended as a show of disrespect to the memory of Lee, who represented the Bees between 2000 and 2003 and won the Elite League Riders’ Championship whilst in our colours. In purely practical terms, dates are very limited this season with availability of top riders, and with our first Elite League match taking place on March 27, when we face Wolverhampton, we needed to arrange our season-opener for the previous Friday in order to provide a home meeting before the league competition begins. This is our first available Friday to stage a fixture, as the season does not start until March 15 and this can only be brought forward when Easter falls in March. However, we intend to stage a collection on the night at Brandon with all proceeds going to Lee Richardson’s family, and this will enable hopefully a large number of Coventry and Leicester supporters to contribute." Well, was there a collection for Lee Richardson's family? I certainly didn't see one.
mdmc82
Maybe they plan to do the collection on a busier race night as they have done in the past.
barrow boy
I was asked by the chairman of the SCB if Leicester had improved their track yet which I thought was a bit rich having just witnessed one of the most boring meetings ever with little or no challenging racing in all bar one heat and I had to wait until heat 15 for that.

Really. Must have been at a different meeting. Hans did some brilliant over taking, doyle attempted to over take but injured his own rider instead. Once bees riders esp reserves are out front it's hard to pass them. That's more to do with riders than the track and which attacked it. shinyhine
Well firstly great to have speedway again for another year and see old friends and make new ones . Tonight's performance well was to be expected hans and bomber solid king usual performance will be a star riding at 3at home robbo will always maintain his average and above while our reserve are and will be all season outstanding and lastly jakub well he tried hard and if that is his best equipment then frankly he will struggle I just hope they don't leave it too long to make a worthwhile change if he don't improve . I wish him well though . Up the bees

Really? One heat? I must have been at a different meeting as I thought there were some good races, plus some mediocre ones like in all matches. Not bad at all for the first match of the season and like someone has already said it wasn't Coventry riders fault that they were gating a bit better than usual so Leicester couldn't catch up. They should have gone a bit faster and challenged. As Robert72 has liked your post I presume he was there but strangely enough he didn't bother to come round to meet Lucy. Disappointed. By the way what was wrong with Doyle in his last two races? He looked decidedly not bothered as he trundled round at the back. If the chairman of the SCB did ask you that ,(which I don't believe for 1 second ) that just shows how out of touch with reality the powers that control our sport are .No wonder speedway is on the slippery slope .. the chairman of the conrolling body of tiddywinks would know exactly what was happening at all the winkers venues .. but the Chairman of the SCB has to ask a supporter who was obviously identified by his red and yellow Bobble hat and scarf and other 80.s paraphernalia

I really rate him as a rider but last night when he was out gated he didn't look interested. Edited March 21, 2015 by mdmc82
Woz01
There was passing especially later on in the meeting. Hans move in heat 13 was particularly good considering I dont think we seen that once from him in 2014. Heat 15 was typical Bomber at Brandon when passing Walasek. Also if I had been a Leicester fan, I would not have been impressed that their captain could not be arsed to go out and receive the trophy with the other riders. Must have missed heat 13 then, and Auty was getting stuck in for most of his rides, same could be said for Robbo & Wozniak. Harris was having a good go at Walasek early in the meeting but he's a quick rider when he gates, it's not easy to pass him. I've been to all of the EL tracks apart from Lakeside, a few of the PL tracks, and a few more tracks that are no longer with us. I would love to know where these tracks are with great racing & passing in every heat because I've yet to find them.
