Starman2006
Do you know, im really suprised that Gavan has not contrabuted to this thread, being a staunch Ippo fan....
Countershaftcounter
Unfortunately that isn't just restricted to Rye. He needs to settle down and eradicate these spills if he's to progress. No doubting the boy has talent and he's pretty quick when he's upright. He needs to be good, they dumped Ellis for him.
Shadders
Hopefully make it down for this Once you've dispatched the mighty Daggers?

Hoping so, putting a good run together at the moment so fingers crossed I'll be turning up with a smile on my face from football!
EIS002
Good luck to both teams and hope Rye get off to a flying start👍👍🏁🏁
Baldyman
Let's hope the ref keeps an eye on those flying starts. So will the new gardening rule be used?
EIS002
Don't think the rules changed that much as the one in the regs doesn't include the rider not being able to get off the bike.
jenga
i think the get off the bike gardening rule has been scrapped. think it was gerry may who made a comment or someone like him..

Shadders
7pm on the website, is that gates open/parade/tapes up? Haven't been to an evening Rye House meet for a while The teams come out on parade at 7pm. With a short intro and coin toss heat 1 is around 5-10 minutes after, unless the weathers looking dodgy, then they dispense with the parade and get on with the racing. Is there standing in these areas, are the seats going to be reinstated?
Alan_Jones
shads, I've been told there is no seating on either bend at rye now. Is there standing in these areas, are the seats going to be reinstated? There is no banking on the 1st & 2nd bends at the moment but it will eventually be built up. The 3rd & 4th bend banking is raised but unfinished so I don't think it will be usable for a while. The seating for the back straight is due to be delivered this week so hopefully that will be ready for the weekend.

The stands for the back straight were ordered, but found to be just too deep to be passed by Health & Safety, being around half a metre too close to the track. They won't be in place for this weekends meeting. The Temp Stand was mostly taped off today, I've no idea if this is will be available for Saturday. The only seating available may be in the main stand, which ain't much! Edited March 16, 2015 by Shads
Baldyman
Is the wooden stand still there, where the refs box is? That's where I've always watched from on my visits, but looking forward to giving the back straight stand a go when it's finally ready. I'm sure that will provide some great viewing., whilst still close to the track Edited March 16, 2015 by baldyman
