Paul
So it's under two weeks away before the tapes fly up for the start of the 2015 season at Rye as Ipswich come to town on the 21st March, weather permitting of course. With the stadium improvements on going we probably won't see the nice little stadium at its best but on track this meeting could be a cracker. This Rye team I think could be a surprise packet this year. For the meeting result, that's a hard one to call. I think Rye should just about do enough, although should the Witches win that again shouldn't be a total surprise. I hope with a new stadium owner he will reinstate draught beer and get decent fish in the fish bar. Will be interesting to see of any other personal changes. So sticking my neck out I'm going for a 6 point Rye win.
CardinalSin
Ahh a meeting thread! Enough to warm the cockles of ya heart! Not sure on this one could go either way and I think it'll be tight. One thing could go in our favour though, and that is all 7 Witches will have a semi competitive meeting a couple of days before in the Billy Sanders memorial, so maybe we'll catch Rye cold. Oafski
I'll be happy to see all fourteen riders riders finish the meeting uninjured, unlike previous seasons where the Rockets v Witches clash has been the opening meeting.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
My first opportunity for a 'Witches by 20' for Rocketben. Actually expect it to be much closer. 6 points either way.
BluPanther
A well prepared track, good racing and preferably an away win...
bolly
The track is ready and looking good according to Len, floodlights may be a bit more problematical as when I last saw, the floodlight poles from bends 3 and 4 were still laying on the ground. Looking forward to good weather and a good meeting with Rye coming out with a 6 to 8 point win GO BMR Rockets Draught beer and good fish would be a welcome bonus. Brian
I was there last week and lights between bends 1 & 2 were on the ground. As I understand it, the stadium was being rewired. Looked an awful lot of work to be done to be ready for first meeting.

Shadders
Difficult to call. Can see the Witches winning this if I'm honest.
Aries
Quite fancy us to win here. Two of our weaker riders on paper in Hawkins and Nielsen are no strangers to Rye, especially Hawkins who tends to go pretty well in recent times. Should be some good battles between Kennett and King too.
Shadders
Two of our weaker riders on paper in Hawkins and Nielsen are no strangers to Rye, Wouldn't put too much faith in Nielsen. Aries
Wouldn't put too much faith in Nielsen. He spent more time on the deck than he did on his bike when he was briefly with us Unfortunately that isn't just restricted to Rye. He needs to settle down and eradicate these spills if he's to progress. No doubting the boy has talent and he's pretty quick when he's upright. Baldyman
I think the Rye team look very good on their home track, a lot will depend on how the new 7 pointer settles in. Not so sure what our nico is like on very tight tracks so for this one I will say 4 point home win.

Ben91
If we can win the meeting I'll be happy. Hopefully make it down for this to see how the developments to the stadium have gone and to have a look at Busk-Jakobsen on his first appearance. PhilK
Lined up as our First meeting of the season, should be a close call, but I'd say a home win by 4-6, meeting to be won or lost at reserve
