Ghostwalker
I don't know if I missed something with the scoring but what would of happened if the final finished as a 3-3, who would have won? I think it would have been the bonus point that would have decided it; 3,2,1+1,0 -> 3+0 vs. 2+1+1.

I'm sure I heard the commentator say that the semis and the final were scored 4,3,2,0.
DutchGrasstrack
That's wrong, all points are 3,2,1,0.

It works like I wrote above. The team bonus point for third place is the decisive factor for semi and final. "If, in the semi-finals and the grand final race finished with a score 3: 3, this couple wins who won a "bonus"." http://www.speedwaypairs.com/en/formula.html

mickthemuppet
That's wrong, all points are 3,2,1,0. Semi Final and Final reverted back to points scoring of 4-3-2-
SteveLyric2
Or 4-3-2-0 even!
DutchGrasstrack
The official results which I received from One Sport have 3-2-1-0 scores in every heat, also in the final two heats.
customhouseregular
Not that I saw it (grrr.) but Hampel seemed to be in good form. What was up with Emil and Grigory?...their scores were lower than I expected. I'm sure Woffinden and Harris would have put on a good show, and I still think Wells should have been there instead of Manzares. Hopefully some of the meeting will turn up on youtube. racers and royals
The official results which I received from One Sport have 3-2-1-0 scores in every heat, also in the final two heats. That is obviously correct-the pairs website states that the team " who gets the bonus point wins" in the semi-final and final. the scoring remains the same just 2nd and 3rd beats 1st and last. Edit posted before I saw that this has already been said on the previous page Edited March 29, 2015 by racers and royals

iris123
Any info on this super duper new computer system that Nicki was using in practice to tune his bike with? Only caught a bit of it,but Norbert + Egon on German Eurosport mentioned it twice at least
Ghostwalker
Its a shame One Sport didn't tell the Eurosport Commentators then!! This might sound crazy but you know the commentators team could have checked the rules themselves...
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Its a shame One Sport didn't tell the Eurosport Commentators then!!no need to get such details right - after all gate 1 was on the fence all night as well according to the screen graphics!

oldtimer
Why is it called Best Pairs when it is a team of three? Sam "down the straightaway" Ermolenko was his usual awful self, a nice guy but just rambles nonsensically, called the Russians Latvians during one race.
iris123
Why is it called Best Pairs when it is a team of three? Guess it is pairs that are riding and a reserve sitting in the pits, but in Ice speedway 3 riders are called a team like you point out
2ndbendbeerhut
Neither Pawlicki or Lebedevs were using a spolier in their rear wheels, thought one had to be used nowadays?
refereerick
I had been looking forward to this all week. I have to watch Eurosport on my pc via a Sky go link to my Son's Sky account. Sky go needs me to run a programme called Silverlight to enable me to view. All my browsing is done via Chrome and Chrome no longer supports Silverlight. I switched to Internet Explorer but I could not get a connection. In desperation I installed Firefox and reinstalled Silverlight. Both installed correctly but Silverlight would not run, so Sky go would not play. So, I missed the meeting and unless my Son can rectify the problem, no speedway for me. Aaaargh!!!! It might be you need to 'activate' the silverlight plug in in firefox. Go to the menu (3 parallel lines in the top right hand corner of the screen) and click on add ons. Silverlight should be in the list of add ons and if it says never activate on the right hand side change that to always activate and that should make it work.
racers and royals
Its a shame One Sport didn't tell the Eurosport Commentators then!! Actually I don`t think Dave Rowe said anything about the points changing -he just said that for the semi and finals it reverts to the "normal pairs" where 2nd and 3rd beat 1st and 4th.
