dabbsjoe
Was really impressed by Gino Manzares he was in the mix all his races just needs to be more consistent with his gating and he will be ok. I think he'd have been doubling up this year until the visa issues

uk_martin
Was really impressed by Gino Manzares he was in the mix all his races And this guy could kick on...now try saying that about, say, Robert Lambert, or one of the other British youngsters who could have been there had the BSPA / SCB not decided that it was not in the best interests of British Speedway to take part. Wasn't it a mucky old track, looked like old style cinders lol Shale comes in many colours, with many different gradings according to sand / clay content etc. This one happened to be black (seen that before at the old Wiener Neustadt stadium) Gorzow's is light grey, others are all shades of brown-red. The important thing is that this was suited to the climate / environment and absorbed the rainwater well without going too muddy.
Ghostwalker
Wasn't it a mucky old track, looked like old style cinders lol Actually (according to Swedish ESP) Güstrow is one of few tracks that still uses cinder as a shale material.

iris123
Lets be honest, pretty much everything about this speedway meeting was spot on great racing on a great track and they rushed through it to try and avoid the rain. OK they lost 2 heats but I doubt anyone watching really blames them as they clearly made an effort - a long way from what we get in the average EL meting. http://www.speedevent.de/mcg/index.php/2012-03-05-17-34-47/239-an-alle-zuschauer-des-speedway-best-pairs-cup Actually the club wanted the meeting to go ahead,it seems it was called off without any discussion with them

racers and royals
Good news for the UK fans: Great Britain will ride in Esbjerg (round 3) Germany wildcard. Brits replace the USA who cannot provide a team on that date. Woffy and Cook named with the reserve to follow.
DutchGrasstrack
Press release just came in:"SBPC in Esbjerg – Germans with the wild card, Great Britain at the start! The national team of Germany as a prize for great start in Guestrow during the second round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup has received the wild card for the Great Final of the series, which takes place on May 9th in Esbjerg. Riders from Great Britain will start for the first time in the meeting. Germans presented themselves really well to their fans during the second round of SBPC in Guestrow and they took the fourth place. Thanks to this they will have another opportunity to present their skills. The squad of German team will be announced in the next few days. Americans, who due to starts in British league are not able to complete their squad, won’t start in Esbjerg. – We are very sorry but unfortunately we have to withdraw from the last round of Speedway Best Pairs Cup. All my teammates, who are in Europe, so Gino Manzares, Ryan Fisher and Ricky Wells are supposed to start in British league matches from which they can’t be released. Simply we have no riders to ride on the track and I am forced to withdraw USA from the last round. We really regret it, I hope we will START again next year – said the captain of American team, Greg Hancock. In Esbjerg Americans will be replaced by… Brits! The riders from Great Britain will receive permission for the start in Speedway Best Pairs Cup tournament from their federation. The manager of the team, Alun Rossiter has delegated Tai Woffinden, whose partner will be Craig Cook, to start in Denmark. The name of the reserved rider will be confirmed in the next few days. - It’s a breakthrough which we hope, will have positive influence on our relations with the authorities of British speedway. Big bows for ACU and Alun Rossiter and also the riders who all have done really much to make it possible for representatives of Great Britain to present in front of Danish fans. For British fans this is the first opportunity to watch their riders in action since the very beginning of Speedway Best Pairs series existence. That’s great information for all of us. We warmly invite all Brits already on May 9th to Esbjerg where we will finish Speedway Best Pairs Cup series and we will emerge the best speedway pair in the world. It will be great sports event which we are looking forward to. So far the sale of the tickets has been going really well and we are convinced that the stadium will be full of fans – commented the organizers of SBPC series from One Sport. All the info concerning the tournament and the possibility of buying the TICKETS for the final round (09.05.2015, 8 p. m., Esbjerg) are available on the site: www.speedwaypairs.com"
Woz01
Good news and fair play to Rosco to make it happen. Bomber is at Leicester that night, it would've been good to see if him and Tai could perform well. It's a good opportunity for Cook in a good line up. In some ways, Cook being there is better than Bomber. It'd be nice if the reserve was Rob Lambert (as Howarth, Newman and Garrity will all be unavailable due to EL/PL clases) Edited April 21, 2015 by SCB
oleoleole
Germany are going to be spread a bit thinly aren't they? I think they host the SWC qualifier at Landshut on the same day, May 9th. ? Pressumably Russia effected as well?

SCB
Russia won`t be affected as the "star" riders don`t take part in the SWC But I would imagine if the Russian authorities will refuse to give them start permission as they should be riding for Russia. I guess it's wait and see.

Is it not the case that OneSport, who own this series, invited Scott Nicholls and Tai Woffinden to represent the UK. Which brings up the question -- and I am not putting any case that one rider is better, or more-deserving of selection than another -- why was Nicholls not given start permission by the BSPA/SCB/whoever, and Craig Cook (invited as reserve by the organisers) parachuted into the pairing? If, as we have repeatedly been told, this is no more than an open meeting organised by a TV company, why is a rider who was specifically named by the organisers who are funding the event, being barred from the meeting? I'm sure Scott doesn't want to ride for team GB in the World Cup so maybe the same principle applies for this as well. Anyway at least GB are in the pairs eventually. Hope cookie does well and mixes it with the big boys.

Maybe for the same reason that he wasn't asked to appear in the GP challenge at Poole a couple of years ago and prevented from riding in the Euro Champs
