SCB
What was Lemo doing there? Leave Holder in, go for the 5-1 and finish 4th with Poland 5th and Sweden 6th. Gives them more points in the series over all. Shocking tactics!
YerRopes
Haha is that could I didn't agree with you Why did I always assume KKS was male? I do know people within the sport and KKS is apparently a Lardy arse female who was very close to the previous PBoro administration allegedly.. Probably why you don't like him now he's getting decent scores..

Hampel is one of my favourite riders but he unfortunately struggled tonight. Think team Australia really missed Doyle tonight Edited April 11, 2015 by mdmc82

mickthemuppet
I love this track. It break every rule about what makes a good track to look at it but I love it! It's a pity that the tapes did not go up evenly. No wonder nearly everybody were getting flyers from gate four. Not the ideal scenario for a good meeting. Bostonian
Track was so strange, but cropped up some great racing! Couldn't believe no body looked at the tapes and get them sorted out. Nearly every winner came from the outside, and it was obvious there was sometime strange within the first few races. Seemed the german fans enjoyed it just a shame we couldn't of got to the final. HadrianDog
Can we all just give the idiots running brit speedway a kick up the ar.e for not allowing a Tai/Chris partnership at least the chance to shine on the world stage. Shame on the managers putting their vested interests before British success.
speedwaysliders
I know it didnt make any diff to the end result but did anyone else see the russians taking a short cut?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://www.flickr.com/photos/16666591@N07/16492763814/

Greg also had a close call in the heat between USA and SWE.
DutchGrasstrack
What a great night again at the Best Pairs Despite the crazy weather it was once again a very cool visit to Güstrow. To say we were lucky is a big understatement because I have never seen such threatening clouds in the sky just before the meeting. My photo's here: http://www.baansportfansite.nl/nieuws/672/rusland-sterkste-in-de-storm-van-gustrow.html

Surely the riders on gates one, two and three will not be too happy about. this. SteveLyric2
Agree its very different watching a meeting live vs TV, but I found the meeting on Eurosport a bit of a borefest if I'm honest - and not for the first time!! I'm sure the crowd in Germany were delighted to see some of the world's top stars as they are usually starved of top riders but as for a decent Pairs meeting - whats the point when the scoring doesn't favour team riding. I can see 'gate and go speedway' anywhere and its usually better when there is something tangible at stake other than just money for those taking part. Riders dropping out mid-meeting for whatever reason didn't surprise me - Smolinski probably because he couldn't do anything riding the inside line; Pedersen because he was ill (why start then? Money?) and others when the track worsened.
Trees
I thought it was quite an entertaining meeting on the other hand ha
customhouseregular
I only got to see the 1st. 10 heats which was a shame. Presentation was slick with minimal delays between races, though the racing was not overly exciting. I probably missed the best of the meeting to be honest. From what I did see I was impressed with Artem and Huckenbeck was a surprise, as was Smolinski for the opposite reason.
uk_martin
20 heats in just over an hour. Now that's the way to run a good meeting, to make people happy who are there, and not to mention making for good television. I wonder how long the next Sky meeting will drag on for? Not forgetting of course that an EL meeting will only feature 75% of the number of races that the Pairs meeting on Eurosport did. But of course, what do these pesky foreigners know? Sky are British, and they know best, coz we won the war and all that...

Lets be honest, pretty much everything about this speedway meeting was spot on great racing on a great track and they rushed through it to try and avoid the rain. OK they lost 2 heats but I doubt anyone watching really blames them as they clearly made an effort - a long way from what we get in the average EL meting.
