I've misplaced my notes at the moment but the crowd was just under 5900. This year the capacity was down to about 13k 'cos of lessons learned from last year. Meaning more rows covered.

You're getting too negative Doug... The cure for U is to quit all this SGP crap and return to do what U love and see more of the Danish 80cc and 50cc meetings. To regain JOY! It's so f..ing hard to find that anywhere at the mo with regular speedway..

You have the situation summed-up perfectly. Some of the happiest times I have had in speedway were working at the grass-roots level in speedway, especially the re-launch of Rye House in 1999 and then at Sittingbourne below our third division level in the mid-2000s, seeing the young riders fight to make their way, and seeing their families working so hard to help them achieve their dreams, light years away from politics and cynical manipulation of the sport - best summed-up simply as stupidity - that blight it elsewhere.

Sometimes you just need to watch four riders race and forget the rubbish that people stupidly allow to get in the way of this. To me It's not about the names or the quality of riding - it's about the racing. Many others think differently - they seek success and glamour, which is why they desert the sport. Winning's fun, but despite what the Americans say, there is more to sport than just winning. I know I'm in a minority - I know I'm a dinosaur - I still love speedway.

switched off after heat 4, complete rubbish on a pathetic track. What a load of garbage

As for that berk phil rising defending the non stop nonsense that occurs at most gps, grow a pair and admit the whole show is a farce

I was looking forward to the Melbourne gp at the ethiad stadium at the end of the season seeing melbourne is my new home city but probably give it a miss now if its another farcial mess of a temp track.

Another garbage GP last night and another one to follow next Saturday in Prague is my guess with Cardiff the following round after the World Cup -so it's 7 weeks to save the SGP series because if the Cardiff track is as bad as the first two rounds I can't see how this series will survive into 2016 people will vote with there feet as they did last night - looking at the GP calendar we have to wait till Daugavpils on 18/7/2015 to get a GP on a proper speedway track - It's time to get these meetings back to proper speedway tracks and stadiums what's the point in going to big cities and plush stadiums if the racing is dire and the stadium is empty ? Fans want good hard close racing to come away from the meeting excited not bored - how many of those fans from last night will go back in 2016 ? .

Time to forget these temporary tracks they have failed time and time again , Olsen needs replacing ASAP he's had to many failed attempts to get these tracks right and failed .

The track yesterday was far worse than Warsaw, so at least we now know why Warsaw was abandoned. With the track they way it is (shape and ruts) riders were just settling into whatever position they had after lap 1. For me the Warsaw track was not terrible but the attitude from riders over the starting gate was. The four heats leading to the abandonment were very good.

All the riders like Prague as it's smooth, slick and well prepared but apart from a few heats it's mainly gate and go.

I don't have any worries about Cardiff this year it was probably the best it's ever has been last year.

We do need to have some more permanent tracks on the circuit though but I understand why they use temporary tracks in countries that haven't got the facilities.

Well if you feel like that about speedway, simple, don't go. As for Phil Rising a berk, can't for the life of me why you should call him that!!

And to think there were posters on here who have labelled the Lynn track as boring. Last night brought a new definition to the word BORING. A truly terrible meeting.

Pleased Mr Nasty won, at least he will be happy.....

Like Poland?

Ah yes the crowds flocked to the last GP there didn't they!

Well that was because of a women's basketball tournament wasn't it?

I assume you're happy with the garbage being served up so far?

Tampere is hardly a big city, or a big stadium.

How many of the permanent tracks produce actual racing? Most are prepared for gate & go.

But if you long for the likes of Prague, Lonigo, Terenzano, Gorican, Krsko, Vojens et al...

The answer should be good tracks in good venues and there simply aren't enough good venues with decent permanent speedway tracks.

Looking for positives, the racing was better than last year,Harris was on the pace and tai is top of the standings - it's not all bad!

Harris on the pace? What meeting were you watching? The usual bike length down at the first bend.
