norbold
I am so sorry to hear that. I knew Bryan well. He was amine of information and always willing to share it. He had a magnificent collection of photographs of the early days of Norwich and again was always willing to let aanyone have copies of them. He was also a great character and a dedicated speedway supporter through and through. He will be very sadly missed.
Guest
Fotwarded messages relating to the late Bryan Tungate: Tony Webb Shaleway Bryan Turngate was a historian who was prepared to share his vast knowledge of speedway. Many budding historians, and I put myself in that category, increased our understanding of speedway history thanks to Bryan. Given those facts I am a little disappointed, correction, I will not mess around, very disappointed, at the absence of tributes to date. derek james wrote After over 75 years of loving, and living in, Mulbarton, Bryan Tungate died in hospital this morning. He will be missed by many, especially locals used to seeing this larger than life character around our village and at the local football etc. Most knew of his love for Speedway and, if you have any stories to share about him please e-mail them to Derek James derek.james2013@gmail.com to be considered for inclusion in a tribute he will be writing. Thank you! 3 hrs · Like · 1 Tony Webb Shaleway to continue after pressing the wrong key. the work of dedicated men such as Bryan needs to be recorded in the archives of speedway history and a fitting tribute would be a n acknowledgement at the event at the British speedway museum this week end and consideration for a memorial plaque which I am prepared to contribute to.
