ruffdiamond
Normally £24.50 - so it does seem to be 'good value'. Would normally only get for the speedway season, might have to watch more stuff over the winter :-(
TheReturn
For all those people moaning about paying your Sky subscription, I generally find a little haggling is enough to get the full package for a good price. Sometimes you have to give the months notice to leave, and then call back a couple of weeks later to see if they have any deals to keep you. I have had Sky half-price for a couple of years now and I find £32 a month very good value for money for the amount of TV I watch. I tend to think of it this way, if I watch one football match a week or one cricket game in the Summer and one speedway meeting, plus say one movie a week, all of that is well worth less than £7.50 a week. I can't believe that some people only buy Sky to watch speedway and don't actually watch any of the other sport or channels.

I used to pay £58.00 per month and phoned them to cancel. They then came back to me and offered £32.00. I have this contract on a cancel they next day either way. Anybody paying more than this should cancel and then will be offered a lower price.Do not worry if they do not offer you a lower price at first as they will come back to you. They hate churning.

Exactly, the thing the consumer needs to remember is that for Sky it is better they get something each month rather than nothing. I am happy to pay £32 a month, but I would not pay close to £60 a month unless I was at home all day watching hours and hours of TV.
Starman2006
With the amount they're paying for football they're going to have to put there prices up so much for the Sky Sports package that anyone not interest in football is going to see it as poor(er) value for money and not bother. I could never justify sky Sports in the past just for the speedway so God knows how many people will feel the same when they stick an extra tenner on the price to cover the new football deal soon. Answer to that is go find a club ie British Legion who still have sky sports, pay the years joining fee from end of march, which will run you round to the following march and then you can watch the Football premier league, championship, League 1-2, the PDC Premier league and World championship Darts and the speedway. Then you can watch the GP's at home on Euro sport.. if you want. job done. Edited February 14, 2015 by Starman2006

Starman2006
Or alternatively, just go to the right pub... Not many pubs have Sky sports anymore. Mainly BT. Again, cost.. But then again, like you say, if you go to the right pub !!! Edited February 14, 2015 by Starman2006

The Steam in Old Town has the lot this neck of the woods...although no sound in the bestest bar.. Will be interesting to see the impact of the forthcoming Football deal with Sky on minor sports though...

Won't be just that though, appart from the normal household sky bill going up, very few pubs can afford it now, after they shove that up by a grillion the rest will pull out as well. Its called GREED.. Edited February 14, 2015 by Starman2006

Starman2006
I think you're right on that one Starman.. Yup, i think i will be.. Then you will have those over paid Supposed superstar footballers command grillions a week, but the fans will still play worship.. Don't get me wrong, i like watching football, but ive never seen this what a goal, goal of the centuary what a superstar he should be playing for Mars...ITS THEIR JOB, and they get paid very well to do that job. Yes if its a good goal, i will say yup good goal, he took that well, or that was a good cross for that goal, but thats it. Daniel Smith
Pleased to see some are getting the full package at £32. Wish I could, the bar stewards won't budge on the £48 we're paying now and we don't have Movies or HD. We're still on the white Sky+. They won't even have us upgraded to HD FOC if we go to the family bundle (even though there's an advert advertising it) We cancelled once, we were on £39 at the time & they went through with it, no call back, nothing for 3 months. We had to go back to them and bang, £48. When the new price for Sports is released, it's got to go as I only watch it for Speedway & Darts. Man Utd games I watch at my old man's. Don't watch any other matches I know I'm being done but the bargaining doesn't work for all

So he can watch all Sky Sports which cost him nothing..So I presume your father has Sky Sports you can use his.name and password and watch on your internet.
