Let's be honest, you don't fund too many people in their 60s on internet forums so it's not totally fair.

 

Just look around you at a speedway meeting.

people over 60 shouldn't be funded, they should pay their own internet subscription from their meagre pensions income.

 

I would say at least 25% of fans are female(at Swindon anyway)

It is kind of strange that speedway tries to target itself at a younger market and encourage kids, when it is clear it's real target markets should be older people.

Actually - you do have a point there. Perhaps Speedway should be Marketed at the over Forties. It is not having much success with the younger members of our Society. After all - over Forties money is just as good as under Forties money.

Arguably, over 40s have far more disposable income than youngsters. Also, most people who run speedway are over 40 themselves, so have much more in common with that market and are more likely to understand their tastes and preferences.

Very true - and, in a perverse way, if we could attract a lot more of our 'older' members of Sciety - some of the young ones might come along to see what it is that attracts us. It's definitely worth a thought Matt.

I think speedway has quite a wide range of ages on the terraces, from babies to people that are closer to 100, than 50,,,

but seriously, how would it attract some-one over 40, if they had 'never' been before ???
