YAMYAMBANDIT
The full phrase was:- Thank you, Good Night, and may your God, 'GO', with you. I have it on a T shirt. Why the capitals on "GO"? In print that usually donates shouting. I don't recall Dave Allen shouting "GO". Just because it's on a T shirt doesn't makes it right. The emphasis was by dave Allen, may your God GO (disappear)

YAMYAMBANDIT
RUBBISH! In what sense rubbish ? Dave Allen was as bigger Heathen as myself, not welcome in many places in Eire because of his views on religion and more specifically on the Pope

The White Knight
What about 'Alf Garnet',,, did you think he was funny ???,,, ;-) It will not surprise you to know that I thought Alf Garnett was VERY funny. Possibly my favourite Sitcom of all time was: 'It Ain't Half Hot Mum'. https://uk.video.search.yahoo.com/video/play?p=it+ain%27t+half+hot+mum&vid=14f74c651009cabc053eb10460344d8e&l=5%3A45&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts4.mm.bing.net%2Fth%3Fid%3DVN.608044842760865827%26pid%3D15.1&rurl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DE-Qr4521pdA&twit=It+Ain%26%2339%3Bt+Half+Hot+Mum+-+Shut+Up+It%26%2339%3Bs+Windsor+Davies&c=16&sigr=11bd3nq4q&sigt=11rujk8vd&sigi=11rdjgviq&ct=p&age=1281798238&fr2=p%3As%2Cv%3Av&b=31&hsimp=yhs-001&hspart=avast&tt=b

thebaron
The emphasis was by dave Allen, may your God GO (disappear) T; you know what I think your spot on; he does say that; listened to him back again and he does emphasise the Go. He was inferring "look when you go (wherever this maybe) take your God with you; don't force it/him on me or us. Never a truer word; and if Dave Allen was here today he would be cutting through all the religious fanaticism rammed in our faces everyday.

Clearly the ukvi rely on the professional body endorsement - upon doing some checks they found rules being broken and have acted. Wiyhout relying somewhat on industry bodies I imagine ukvi would need to increase their staff manyfold if they had to satisfy themselves on every single application that the endorsement was accurate.
