racers and royals
Any information about whether the issue is sorted yet and who can come to ride here? Give them a chance-the meeting is in the form of the "speed awareness course " (obviously not had to go on one myself !!!) where they have each a hand held computer thingy and they won`t move on to the next point until 95% of the promoters have got the answer right. jenga
was there any small print in the regulations at all , or were they just in Braille. alex must have been too engrossed in his teams performance in the 2014 season to read/feel it. lets have another referendum please. drosser
You would think, after all of the visa problems in recent years, that lessons would have been learned. Mr Harkess' team was one of the ones caught out previously. Surely the BSPA can afford to occasionally consult an employment lawyer who could give advice on these type of issues. I feel sorry for the riders who have saved up and geared up for a full British season only to have their employment removed at a late stage. They too should have familiarized themselves with the rules. Lets hope that a resolution can be found quickly.
Dave Jones
I heard that they didn't get off the first page.. Most of them saw the date and couldn't understand why it didn't start nineteen hundred and something.
SteveLyric2
Colin Pratt has reported a successful meeting of all promoters with UKVI during the morning and then a separate meeting involving the BSPA MC and UKVI in the afternoon. There is apparently a newly worded Certificate of Sponsorship (Licence) which has been agreed and Swindon are proceeding immeadiately with Batchelor's visa application. jenga
now why would i be discussing speedway on a speedway forum. may have to take a nap to recover my thoughts. so how many Australian cricketers will this affect. or indeed take away chefs. proud panther
Would still rather have exciting young Aussies here before the Dilger, Konopka, Palavarro dross that we have again this year. Agree that they should return on their assessed average if they fail to reach that figure.

Yeh hundreds of British lads go over when the season finished, and ride in Australia, I don't think !, this visa situation applies to all jobs where you need a visa, not just Speedway, it's just that Speedway have a bunch of muppets running it, and I wouldn't put money on any of them passing the 11plus. now why would i be discussing speedway on a speedway forum. may have to take a nap to recover my thoughts. so how many Australian cricketers will this affect. or indeed take away chefs.  discussing speedway on here, what ever next..  It wont effect any of the above, if they know what they are doing, and fill the forms in right, do you think everyone is in the same situation that speedway is in, I have a feeling they are not. jenga
i think your reply is contradicting its self. i think.. any form of work in another country has to have a working visa in place and not a holiday one. i think (again) could be classed as money laundering. i think (yet again) with a bit of luck it will all be sorted out in time for the new season and we never have to go dow this road again..

Where in my post does it mention anything about an holiday visa, anyone with half a brain cell will know the difference, well I would hope they do, so read my post and digest it, if anyone from Britain was going to Australia on holiday for an extended period of time, they would not apply for a work visa, and if they were going there to work they would not apply for a holiday visa, if riders were coming to Britain on a holiday visa, I would think the BSPA wouldn't ok it, and any club would know that.
