Bspa Meeting With Ukv&i?

Have it your way, the highest level of league in the UK isn't the most Elite one.

Anything else you want to change regarding the English language?

I must be wrong.

You and your acolyte Penfold say so.

So why do some people go on and on and on and on and on and on about it?

"Because it is there".

George Mallory. 1923.

Everest Climber. (Some say, and I believe Everest Conqueror).

VISA ISSUES GROUNDED IN POLITICS

The Visa issues that have the potential to seriously disrupt the forthcoming UK season originate in the corridors of power in the UK and are driven by a growing discontent among Brits in regard to mass immigration, both permanent and temporary.

What started out as a minor political party in the UK has started to drag votes away from the major parties due to its unsympathetic stance on immigration. This basically sent a message to the major parties that the public were unhappy with their apathy on the subject and now the axe has come down on everyone – not just speedway riders.

This is nothing to do with the BSPA (British Speedway Promoter’s Association) although they concede that mistakes have been made and they must now do everything to the letter – the border agency will accept nothing less.

The UK Promoters know they need Australians and Americans in their teams and they are working feverishly to meet the criteria as set out by the UK border agency.

Unfortunately my mail is that not all riders affected by this will, in fact, be granted visas for 2015 and should there be a significant delay in visas being processed the make-up of UK teams could take on a very different complexion.

Some clubs had as few as two or three issues uncovered by the border agency and others had over 20, but the punishment is the same for all offending clubs.

I have more information from a very respected source and I intend to say more in coming days, suffice to say this is a very serious situation.

A load of utter rubbish of course.

Work permit rules have always been in place.

Indeed other sports have been pulled up on this in the past, long before the rise of UKIP etc.

It's another smokescreen to deflect away from the very simple fact that ALL of this has been brought upon by the incompetence of the promoters.

It doesn't matter how much they try and twist it, point the finger elsewhere. They have been consistently trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the authorities and are now in hot water as a result.

I don't think it's utter rubbish, as there is a certain degree of truth in the government tightening up on immigration in recent times, and I've even fallen foul of that myself and I know how things are constantly changing at present and they are looking more to fail people who put in visa application.

However, the answer to that is - do everything by the letter and then they can't fail you if you are eligible.

It makes me laugh where Rod Colquhoun says that some teams only had as few as 2 or 3 occasions uncovered. Why do they even have one issue?

Just do things properly. That's all.

I have to. So should they.

Do people really want our speedway teams to have illegal immigrants in them?

I take your point..

However what we keep seeing is attempts to move the blame away from the promoters and the BSPA.

The buck stops with them, it is their fault, nobody elses.
