I think that most right minded people would consider describing Romanians and Bulgarians as pickpockets and beggars on benefits a little more than a slighty dodgy remark. I wouldn't care whether you expressed it or not, but I WOULD care if people attempted to drag this forum through a lot of off topic reactions. On first reading I took the remark to be light hearted more than anything, it was factually incorrect because not everyone of those mentioned is a pickpocket (they have cultivated something of a reputation though), but then, many ON topic remarks are factually incorrect.
