YAMYAMBANDIT
Matt Wethers must have GB parentage too. As he come in on a 3 and rode NL. Just heard Matty might have a problem, as his employer agreement is with Berwick and not Workington, and you can only ride for your employer, hope thats wrong for Mattys sake. Doesn't make sense. He rode NL so doesn't need a permit. I think someone is making things up.

Odd question if Matty rode in the NL, why does he need a work permit & visa anyway. If has dual nationality status he surely does not require them. YAMYAMBANDIT
He has a British wife and child as well! Already said that about Aaron, and correct Matty the same, but that only means he is married to a British Citizen, that does not mean necessarily that he is, although he may have applied. He doesn't need a permit. Thats the point. Doesn't matter. Not relevant. Think that is what I was trying to say, as to ride NL, you must be British Citizen or hold dual nationality status. SCB
do you know for sure that he does not need a permit ,He was Aussie born He rode NL and come in on a 3. If he needed a work permit that wouldn't have been possible. Apart from a season or two around about 2008 when each NL team was allowed one work permit rider each (allowing Dyer, Ward, Tregonin, Jones,Sedgemen etc to ride NL), work permit riders have not been allowed in the NL. So I'm pretty certain on this one.
IronScorpion
There was an issue, last year, with Ryan Fisher's family. If i remember right, she ran a restaurant or cafe & their kids went to local schools but her visa ran out & they had to move to Europe. Someone might correct me if the facts are not totaly correct but this is where living in Britain, paying taxes, schooling etc, does not guarentee not having problems with visas. Someone might correct me if the facts are not totaly correct but this is where living in Britain, paying taxes, schooling etc, does not guarentee not having problems with visas. She was over on a spouse visa. When Mick Horton bought Coventry Ryan had to re-apply for a new visa (and apparently did) but Ryans wife didn't change hers (probably as she wasn't employer by Sandhu/Horton so didn't think it relevant). It was only after she tried to enter the country later in the year that she found out she should have changed her visa. So it is easy enough to make a genuine mistake. Ryan and his wifes got her banned from the UK for a year. So if any members of the BSPA have been breaking the rules then fi the worst that happens is a few rider are late getting a visa I think we can all consider the BSPA/individual promoters very lucky! the only listing he has for NL is wolves in 2003 not sure where else he rode or if Wolves were NL in 2003 .?Don't think Dale devils were in NL but could be wrong.the NL in present form did not start till 2009 Wolves had a Conference League team in 2003.
