Paulco
Any talk of EL racing north of the border is " pie in the sky " stuff . We dropped out of top flight racing at the end of the 1973 season , and apart from the one big league in 95 , we have remained a 2nd tier club ever since . I don't see that changing any time soon . But you never can tell , with the EL dropping in both standards and numbers , who knows what shape British speedway will take during the rest of this decade .
scaramanga
i cant see why any team would want to leave the prem to join the elite league unless its for logistical reasons less travel and more local derbys who wants to see the same 2 teams racing every other week and lets face it the elite is not what it was 10 years ago sweedish elite league reserves are pushing for british no 1 places
Arson fire
I do like us being underdogs and written off before a wheel is turned-it usually means a good season for the Scorpions!!! usually means you will fiddle a change after a few months

RedcarRacer
After reading that the new owners at Glasgow want the club to be the Manchester City of speedway, I wonder whether this could be the last season for Glasgow in the Premier League. Â Totally agree Spinny and have said this before, this will annoy some on here as we all on this section are PL fans at heart - but if you want the best team in speedway in Britain then you need to be top-flight. Depends what they want.
baba
Â Dont think the man city of speedway comment should be taken to heart like it has been...its called P.R, in glasgow newspapers any reference to football will catch attention of non speedway fans, thats why bold statement was used, creating a bit of hype.
