INCOGNITO
Think the format is vital to be known before any signings as a team needs to be balanced with the format to get the best results. Fans maybe don't need to know but teams should know from day one so if they did know from November it would be no need to keep it quiet to the paying public
Gambo
I find all this quite amazing...... We but a month away from the start of the season, and still no-one knows the program format........ This could only happen in British Speedway... The Referees and Promoters do. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I would expect it to be put in the public domain after it has been ratified at the SCB Seminar 21/22 February. Bryn
Sorry to go against recent posts but can somebody please tell me what 'fans' would do with this (heat formula) information today, if they had it available?! Moan?
E I Addio
Hmm, let's have a think about this. Isn't it at about this time of year the BSPA have its training days/seminars with licensed SCB officials ? And doesn't it make sense to keep the officials informed first ? As I recall it was almost exactly this time of year that I Heard from a start Marshall roughly what the (then) new heat format would be and he had only just been told himself, so I guess they would be doing pretty much the same thing this year. Amazing how it's always the same members that jump in feet first with their moans without trying to think it through first.

barrow boy
The new official BEL heats format for 2015 is now available and is as follows:- 12 v 12 67 v 67 35 v 35 47 v 47 26 v 26 34 v 15 15 v 34 47 v 26 26 v 47 35 v 12 12 v 35 67 v 67 15 v 15 34 v
KN1
So still reserves not meeting 1+ 5 unless replacing 2/3/4. Crap again let them race these riders, old format.
BluPanther
Fast track protection is not going to test these riders progression, they will face harder rides in the Premier Lge. Disappointing imo..
KN1
It does seem having a quick look at the meeting rules they are eligible for heat 15 as a top scorer from 4 programmed rides. Stand to be corrected. Would still prefer to have old format where they meet everyone.

Disappointing imo.. with stronger reserves and 2nd strings this season I yhink the level is about right. They will meet the likes of cook pk barker bridger etc.no easy rides for the m

T.N.T.
A few little changes but would have liked to have seen the reserves protected less with only one reserves race and the #6 (Tier 1) having to face a few heat leaders / second strings instead while the #7 (Tier 2) meets the opposing #7 more often. Also would have liked to have seen a change in the heats where a teams 1-5 meets the opposing 3-4 in consecutive heats. Would rather have seen 1-5 v 1-5 twice or 1-3 v 1-3 in another heat as these heats at present are often 5-1's or 8-1's Do like the fact that heat 14 is now a race that is generally the 3rd and 4th strongest in the teams ..... Second strings are going to be vital as many of the Tactical Rides could be taken in heats 8 and 9 17.2.1 = The 15 Heat Format for all Elite League Meetings is HEAT 1 1c-d2a-b1d-c2b–aHEAT 26b–a7d-c6a-b7c–dHEAT 33c-d5a-b3d-c5b–aHEAT 44d-c7b–a4c-d7a–bHEAT 52b–a6d-c2a-b6c–dHEAT 63a-b4c-d1b–a5d–cHEAT 71a-b5c-d3b–a4d–cHEAT 84a-b7c-d2d-c6b–aHEAT 92c-d6a-b4b–a7d–cHEAT 103b–a5d-c1a-b2c–dHEAT 111b–a2d-c3a-b5c–dHEAT 126c-d7a-b6d-c7b–aHEAT 131d-c5b–a1c-d5a-bHEAT 143d-c4b–a3c-d4a–bHEAT 15Top Scorer’s Heat: see SR 15.14(NB. not #6 or #7) Edited February 18, 2015 by T.N.T. BWitcher
Moan? And herein is part of the problem that has the sport where it is in this country. Many don't moan.. they simply walk away. Something that still to this day the sycophants and lackeys haven't worked out.

KN1
Reserves are not eligible for Heat 15 - see SR 17.2.1 So that contradicts 15.14.3 then
SteveLyric2
So that contradicts 15.14.3 then You can't expect all rules/regs to be totally clear KN1?! This is speedway after all!! Although 15.14.3 does state 'No reserve switches', but could be better worded.
T.N.T.
The away #5 looks to have a tough night Wonder how many would put their top rider at #5 instead of #1 ?
pointsmeanplayoffs
Riding at 3 seems tougher this year; of the 8 opponents they face in their programmed 4 rides, 7 of their opponents will be heat leaders (1,3,5). Only once do they face a second string. Riding at 1 means you face a second string twice, and at 5 it's three times. Is there a rule around where riders must be positioned i.e. top 3 must be at 1,3,5 etc?

Glad Stars have 2 'grade A' riders for their 1&3 positions.
