ColinMills
agree with you again!!....Jason bunyan was another waste of time..if you have the so called "best gp riders" in town, do you really need a novice making up the numbers? need anybody pay to see bunyan or conda? instead of giving no hopers the wildcard entry, why not give a little experience tasters to riders on the brink, so it helps when/if they enter the gps? riders like sundstrom, (that's just an example)
SCB
Must admit, I'd prefer the wildcard to be the best non-GP rider. Not a local. It's a waste in Italy, NZ, Slovenia etc. I'm not sure Linus Sundstrom is the ideal example though!
waiheke1
Because selector's picks are arbitrary choices and wildcards keep out genuine competitors. Why should Alexander Conda get a place to appease local interest for one GP, thereby denying a better rider a GP place. There will always be people who miss out on qualifying but good/bad luck is cyclical. If everyone had to qualify for the GP series they would all be there on merit.Luck is not cyclical nor does it even out. That is an utter myth. customhouseregular
Luck is not cyclical nor does it even out. That is an utter myth. Then you and I shall have to agree to disagree .
waiheke1
As an example: how would u say Kenny Carter's luck in world championships evened out? Dave jessups? Tommy Knudsen's?
customhouseregular
There is little point in continuing this discussion as you and I have opposing views which we are both unlikely to change .
waiheke1
Fair enough chr, just wondered why you think luck evens itself out?
racers and royals
As an example: how would u say Kenny Carter's luck in world championships evened out? Dave jessups? Tommy Knudsen's? Saw Tommy in Krsko looking fit and well- he was working for Danish TV alongside Jan Staechmann
