It will save BSI having to seed 2 token Swedes

To be honest, IMO if Lindbäck is the sole Swedish rider qualifying, there is no need to give a wild card to another Swedish rider but I do think it will happen despite that there isn't anyone who deserves it.

If Lindbäck does not qualify he will get one wild card and then it's less likely that they give a second Swede a wild card.

There have been a minimum 2 Swedes in the GP from the start. As long as there are 2 GP's in Sweden this will continue .BSI will be praying Lindback makes it through the qualifier,Hampel will be praying 2 Poles don't qualify as that will be his wildcard up in smoke.

  • 2 weeks later...

There are not many of that field that would be great assets to improve the GP's....most would significantly weaken it, the odd few would be ok, hopefully those will get through.

Agree. I couldn't see any out of that lot that could finish top 8, apart from maybe Anton.

Dorna sold the Moto GP rights to BT, it was on Eurosport until 2014 started. Big money to Dorna. All we get now of Moto GP is ITV4 think it is on the MOnday after the GPs and then only the Moto GP race with very short highlights of 2 and 3

With it being the last year of the British Eurosport GP contract-BSI will be hoping BT/Sky are interested in taking it on.

No!...I don't have Sky or BT. If Eurosport don't show GP/SEC my live viewing days are over :o .

that`s what I`m asking-it all depends on who they have managed to sell it to.

Edit I have emailed Dorna will post if I get a reply.

I have received a reply from Dorna- the meeting will not be televised live anywhere-however a 52 minute highlights programme will be put together, however it`s not been taken up by a British broadcaster as of yet.

SEC should be ok as it`s pan-European coverage-however I suspect that BSI would get a better deal from SKY or BT if they were interested in the British coverage of the GP`s.

NEW British TV contract negotiations underway ... interest being shown by BT, Eurosport (now owned by the Discovery Channel) which wasn't the case last time around) and Sky.
