Lewis Bridger

He was involved in drugs but to my knowledge hurt nobody but himself. My point is why as an individual would you have that much respect for speedway is it barred from all corruption and wrongdoing's i think not.

Surely you should respect your Sport and think very carefully before bringing it in to disrepute.

Nobody is saying that Lee was not a brilliant Rider - he was. But if you asked me was he good for Speedway, I would probably have to say no.

His undoubted brilliance, to me, was overshadowed by his actions that brought the Sport I loved in to disrepute.

As for Bridger - he too has found ways of getting himself in to trouble too.

Being a good, or in Lee's case a great Rider does not mean that you can do what you like regardless of the consequences, and it does not excuse those things either..

You are right Wk,but i would say Lee did more good for the sport than bad.If anything he hurt himself more and his family especially his dad but lets not forget speedway was NOT totally blameless in some of his troubles Eglese Ebdon (ect).

Yep ok, Bridger got in a bit of a punch up, but N

Oh yeah,so you are some sort of angel.Never done nuffink wrong in your life to judge him.He was a contender and in Sids world that negates beating up someone. So other than that was has he done wrong?

the question was - what's his biggest crime? This was the answer. Whats your problem - facts are being stated not judgements

Was Lee not a credit in 1980 ? and most of his career and to the sport and lets get thing's right Lee owes the sport zilch in my book.Bridger has a made a few mistakes a terrific talent, and Ward we all know how good he could become? My point is WK and i am a staunch supporter of yours, Briggs,Mauger,Olsen are examples they are heroes of most mine certainly yet all of them at one time or another have fell out with the powers to be right or wrong.?

Back to Lewis I think he will be a good signing for Leicester

No, but the 12 good men and women of the jury did and obviously came to the conclusion his side of the story didn't mitigate him, hence a guilty verdict.

May not be a hanging offence but a pretty vile crime to say the least.

Being involved in speedway isn't some sort of immunity you know Sid, disgusting crimes are the same even if committed by speedway riders.

Anyway how are you fixed on Thursday for our fight, not going to bottle it again are you!!!!!

Bridger allegedly got in to some sort of Race row in a punch up and Lee was allegedly involved in Drugs.

I don't think that Mauger, Olsen or 'Briggo' were ever involved in anything like that.

I don't think there's any allegedly about it TWK .

  • 2 weeks later...

Should have his speedway licence revoked and not be allowed to race.

It seems that the death of Lee Richardson plus injuries to Ricky Ashworth and Rory Schlein have been the catalyst. If so, maybe the guy should be given a break.

What a prick. The amount of times I have defended him, over and over. Why did I bother? Seems 90% of people who said he was a waste of space were right.

Have you ever made a mistake ? he's a great talent that all that matters ..or par with Lee and Ashby I would say .
