stratton
Ok,say he gets more time.Does that matter?Like I said when he takes on other jobs he knows beforehand how much time he will get and he knows beforehand it isn't the same as at parken. So,who is to blame?I'll tell you who.The man who takes on a job where he knows he won't be able to do as good a job as he does at parkenIris was that meeting not being completed, has that made sure any other mistakes would be under scrutiny.? I do believe that meeting at the weekend should of gone through and been completed but would that be RIGHT..? i know our sport has been BADLY dented bigtime it might not recover the Series certainly has a big job to restore faith. BWitcher
Â Â I really do hope we find out the real details for the cancellation of this Event. I don't want to upset BW so I will say yes - it could have been Rider power - but - it could be other things as well. Â Â Â Dear me WK. Â There is absolutely no doubt it was rider power that caused it to be postponed. Â I think you are the only person on the planet who doesn't believe that. Â The debate is whether the riders were right! Â Are you seriously suggesting BSI or the FIM decided, hang on, might be a good idea to abandon this after 12 races, that will go down well!

Grand Central
Just taking a different tack for a moment. Â It took THIRTY FOUR years for Speedway to get a crowd in excess of 50,000. The last one being at Wembley in 1981. Â And yet on Saturday night the riders have effectively ensured that no other crowd of that size may ever attend a Speedway meeting again. Ever. Â Quite amazing to think of that, isn't it? And hardly surprising that they have taken a vow of silence on the matter, either.

SteveLyric2
Just a thought on the length of time to lay a temporary track - if more time is required it means hiring the venue for more days!! They don't give the venue free!! So any extra hire cost will be passed onto the fans in even more expensive ticket prices!

You cannot lay a temparary track in 3 days and expect it not to cut up badly. You have the choice, either you have more time for the track curators to lay a track at the venue, giving the track more time to bed in, or its a rush job profit before speedway and you end up with what you had last Saturday. I think i know what the fans and riders would prefere..
Berrett
I thought the green light starts were better than tapes. It eliminated almost any possibility of anticipating the start and getting a flyer, and makes any jumped start very obvious. F1, MotoGP, WSB and BSB seem to manage it. Grand Central
Although it is the tapes issue that really precipitated the rider revolt on Saturday. There is no doubt that the inconsistency of track preparation is an issue that will matter for all future indoor GPsAnd one that was made full use of to get the postponement activated by the dim-witted Jury. Â As regards the time taken to prepare the track. I presume this is the reason why the PZM statement on Sunday made it plain that SpeedSport had access to the Stadium on April 12 to begin track building. But that they did not commence doing so until April 14. Â No doubt one of the little entrails that the lawyers will chew over. BWitcher
"Heat 1: Iversen, Harris, Lambert, Howarth 4-2 59.96 Niels gates and is gone. Lambert from 4th to 2nd but lifts to allow Harris through" Â Above is a Tweet from Kings Lynn. Â Afraid it looks like the meeting is danger as Lambert has lifted and its only Heat 1.. Â Edited to add: Â "Heat 4 stopped as Zengota lifts coming off the second bend and crashes. He's excluded from the re-run" Â This can't continue!! markyb
Good comment in this weeks MCN http://t.co/GdhwoItX4C  Telling it how it was.......... The 18 SGP riders should be ashamed of themselves ! had better opinions of some of them than they have reacted (or rather not reacted !). Treating the people (us fans) with contempt ! Time for the SEC to bring on a championship of integrity and honest riders for the fans to appreciate. (Only hope for a packed new Belle Vue in 2016 to rival Cardiff and their inferior championship)  plus hopefully Lawrence, Steele have picked up their last pay cheques from their involvement in Speedway - well, at least being associated as being English  bring on my suspension from speedway-forum for having a go at the "establishment "
