Conkers
I've just heard that Antonin Svab died on the 21st November aged 82. He was the first non-Soviet rider to win the World Ice Speedway Championship in 1970, and was an acomplished Motorcyclist in several disciplines, representing the Czechoslavakia. His son, Antonin Svab Jr. was a speedway rider who rode in Poland and the UK, but was injured in 2006 and forced to retire.
Deano
RIP Antonin. I remember Jnr better from his premier league days and his own struggle from injury, still a shame though.
