E I Addio
He expressed an interest in riding if it was less fixtures and before he secured a 2015 GP place Your question was who would be available now that Bech and Bridger are unavailable. Lakeside have said that AJ almost came back to replace Peter Karlsson but there were too many fixture clashes.. It has been said on the Lakeside website before the AGM that AJ was Lakesides main target and Jon Cook said with only 8 EL teams it should be possible to arrange the fixture list so he will be available. There is no doubt that both club and rider want it to happen if the details can be ironed out. Reading between the lines my guess is that the decision to concentrate the fixtures in non GP weeks is something they had all more or less agreed on before the AGM , and that may well be why Fast Freddie has indicated he would be interested in coming back to GB. For me Wolves is not Wolves without Freddie and Lakeside is not Lakeside without AJ. I think you might find Bech is back in GB as well , although possibly not at Lakeside, since it seems he doesn't have a job in either Poland or Sweden as far as I know. Bech's meeting in Swindon over the weekend may give a clue!! Re the fast track revisions, some people seem to be missing the point that Neil Vatcher will be INVITING riders to be reserves and then dividing them into a Grade A and Grade B lists. If some riders have already ridden in the 1-5 or been 'offered' a full team place, I assume they wouldn't be considered as a reserve. so to start naming names at this stage is far too premature imo. Finally, has anyone official actually confirmed or denied the 'only 2 riders over 7 points ' in the EL, other than the unofficial 'I used to be a serious journalist' SwindonLinkSport website?? 'Cos I've not seen mention of it anywhere else!! Edited November 17, 2014 by Skidder1

They may have got it from the link sport website as it names 7 riders for the Grade A list. I've not seen the 2 over 7 rule anywhere else but the said website. theknow 2
Not a lot to shout about really and only 8 teams in the league. Bit of a joke really seeing 7 teams twice but hey thats British Speedway

Would prefer to see 7 strong teams twice than have a league of 16 and see 15 weaker teams once.

Re Bech - More than likely in Swindon at the weekend simply because his UK mechanic, Del Rowe, lives in Swindon, and he was sorting out a few things for next season. Dont forget that with the BSPA AGM taking place at the weekend in Rugby , Bech was highly unlikely to have been able to meet with Rosco or Colin. stevebrum
Is that in the statement because if it is I missed it. Sorry Stevebrum I may be losing my marbles but I can't see anything in those two sentences that say each team can only have two 7 plus riders. I meant only 2 riders over 7 rule. Rory has tweeted that he can't ride PL as his average is over 6. Is it a new rule? It would rule out Cook and King doubling up. Woz01 and Clambo71 - apologies i completely ignored the 2 riders over 7 bit which of course is the part you were referring to. Sorry You are of course correct i haven't seen anything official about the 2 riders of 7 rule so i am just assuming it isnt correct. Not a lot to shout about really and only 8 teams in the league. Bit of a joke really seeing 7 teams twice but hey thats British Speedway Same as Poland and Sweden - you're point therefore?
capone
seems the only reason to have the A.G.M is to change a few things just to wind the supporters up.. how many more times will they change the helmet colours??....who the hell cant make out which one is yellow!!??...if you can see red white and blue....whats left

Yes team numbers abroad are around the same but look at the teams they assemble, wont happen in the UK though will it apart from at possibly Poole. Always run on a shoe string and aimed at the clubs who cant afford decent riders as they dont have the money or crowds to pay for it.

And what happened when there were a couple of clubs, other than Poole , with promoters who had cash and wanted to compete? They were very quickly "screwed over" by your mate down at Wimborne Rd who couldn't face any real competition.

Your talking total tosh, do you mean the people who had dodge money and then disappeared like their companys ???? Like him or not he does a good job for Poole and yes he Promotes unlike most who are useless at it and blame all their woes on Poole.

It's all very well to mock these changes for the sake of moaning but the yellow and white helmet covers are not always easy to see under the lights then there is a case for better indentiification. It's also important when two riders cross the line together.

If the yellow is slightly faded it can be difficult to tell it from a dirty white.

With the change they have made they should have also changed the TR helmet to multi coloured. Edited November 17, 2014 by A ORLOV

O K lets up the limit to 50.Poole walk the league as they can afford the wages of the best riders willing to ride over here, creating the most boring season of all time All the rest try to compete and go way over budget and half if not more of them go bust and have to drop to one of the lower leagues or just close their doors.(and dont tell me that wont happen sadly just look at Birmingham,Peterborough and Eastbourne.)So what points limit do you think the remaining 3 or4 clubs will go for in 2016. Its just the way it is you have to have a points limit that every club in the Elite league has a chance to compete with in hope that you get a competative league. As with everything in life you have to cut your cloth.

Fans watch all sorts of motorsport and football when one team dominates so not a valid point. Why have these teams gone ? Poor promotors and poor teams, no other reason really. If Poole had a great team or any other team did fans would come to watch the best. People are fed up with paying top dollar to watch rubbish and you may be surprised how many people come. As has been proved weakening all the time and prices going up does not WORK !!!! Me for one. If the yellow is slightly faded it can be difficult to tell it from a dirty white. So what your saying is you cant work out who is who with only four riders
