Brummies_Ste
BIRMINGHAM Brummies are set to rise from the ashes next season – with an application to enter Speedway’s National League. Former club owner Tony Mole has confirmed he will be entering the Brummies – with their traditional yellow and red race jacket colours – in the third tier of the sport as a starting point to rebuild the club. All home meetings will be staged at Perry Barr with Cradley Heath also racing at the Aldridge Road venue on alternate weeks as the Heathens aim to defend their title. Said Mole: “I am delighted to confirm I have reached agreement with all parties for Birmingham Brummies to submit an application to join the National League next season. “This is very much the first stage in a rebuilding process and if the team is a success and we get the necessary support from fans then I will be looking to take the club up into a higher level. “I am pleased to see Cradley Heath survive and they will be the team everyone wants to beat next season. They have won the title for the last two seasons and will be going for the hat-trick, but I have two main ambitions myself for 2015 – win the league and beat Cradley! “We will be building a competitive team and I have a team manager in mind. More announcements will be made in due course, including our opening night details

spin king junior
Fantastic to hear. The national league actually looks very good this year and it's good to see both the Brummies and Heathens secure their short term future.
greyhoundp
This has to be the best news for both Teams, 2 Teams one venue the way to go for the future maybe ? well done to The Heathens management, thanks to Tony Mole for rescueing Perry Barr from the Phillips debacle. I may appear to have asked awkward questions of The Heathens management however there was good intent behind the questions, I wanted to see the Heathens continue preferably at Perry Barr, this they have done, again well done to them and looking forward to 2015 especially the local derbies against our fellow Perry Barrians, The Brummies.

chopper
Great news, hopefully they can recieve the support needed to survive and prosper. While i know its a development league do some rules need to be changed to allow some top end riders back into the league or some new riders to come in , the stand alone clubs need to put out a decent product to attract and rettain supporters, Just putting it out there for debate, the top riders still mainly race each other while the reserves still have races against each other maybe like last years EL. salty
Brilliant news for both sets of supporters. Lets hope 2015 is a big success for both teams.
Brummie Kev
This is the best possible news for both clubs. We have been through so much turmoil the past 6 months, honestly thought at times Speedway was finished in Brum. Some may have preferred EL or PL but NL could be a great league for the Brummies. Some new tracks to visit like Buxton and Kent so looking forward to it. Thank you Tony Mole, any chance of getting Phil Morris back. Works well with the younger riders Just want to add Im pleased Cradley have been saved aswell. The local derbies should be good, will be wierd to see us wearing white and yellow helmet colours at Perry Barr!!
Moorski
Great News for Both Clubs, Thank You to Tony Mole, Nigel Pearson, Gary Patchett & anyone else involved in saving 2 Midlands Clubs from disappearing again, I know both sets of fans would have preferred PL racing but that may come in time if this works out, Also Cradley fans I know Perry Barr is not where you wanted to be, but the racing strip is a good one and at least your team can continue racing, hopefully one day you may get your own venue but for now give it your support as I am sure you will, The same goes for Brummies fans get down to Perry Barr next season. salty
Given his historic links to both clubs, what about starting the season with a Brummies v Heathens clash for the Dan McCormick Trophy?

Daniel Smith
It is great news to see both clubs survive but it is disappointing to to see Cradley remain NL. With the teams they put out I just don't see what they offer to the league winning home and away week in week out. Cradley remaining NL though could be part of the terms set by Mole as Cradley being in a higher league could damage his business.

There wouldn't have been enough wednesdays to accommodate both Birmingham and Cradley if The Heathens went PL nothing to do with "Terms" set by Mole or anyone else! Planning conditions are quite strict at PB and that means only one speedway meeting per week.
