Popular Post Rob Lee
Brandon Stadium appeared on the Beeb earlier this week, in an investigative report into greyhound racing. It centred on a trainer who openly admitted to doping his dogs and betting against them. It also touched a governing body that was about as transparent as mud (refused to talk to the BBC), was manipulated by certain members to divert cash to favoured tracks while trying to starve the independents out of business (in greyhound racing, Coventry is an independent). So, all we need to get speedway coverage on the BBC is a dodgy governing body, a doping scandal, a promoter who manipulates things to his own ends and a stadium or two that are being starved out of existence. Nah, it'll never work - where would we find all those ingredients.....?
