Dave C
Wow. Stunned, but delighted to see this. The video, just like the song, is pure Elbow, understated but beautiful & poignant. Its heart-warming to see such recognition of the Aces & the importance of their history in Manchester. With all the apparent negativity & doom surrounding UK speedway at present, this is a welcome reminder of what the sport and each individual club, means to a dwindling band of passionate folk, throughout the country. Its all a bit sentimental, but hey, what's wrong with that? Lets hope that this video & the subsequent mainstream exposure, is another timely boost for the Aces & their plans for the new stadium. http://elbow.co.uk/watch-charge-video-online-now/ Edited November 3, 2014 by Dave C

moxey63
Is that an official video then? I am well chuffed... well and truly gobsmacked. Elbow are not a bad group... but this record, and I've only heard it for the first time... ably backed by a superb video, I have to say... moxey63 likes it! Speedway don't half look good... I knew there was a reason for it. Just off to download the Elbow ditty! Edited November 4, 2014 by moxey63

raymondbudd
I actuall enjoyed the downbeat nature of it, the storytelling of days gone past to a soundtrack with melonchony undertones.

fatface
Very cool indeed. It's difficult to define, but there is a certain working man's grittiness in speedway. It works so well on film.
ruffdiamond
a really good piece of work by Elbow,,, showing speedway in a sort of 'grass roots' type of way,,, unfortunately, the track and video would be more appealing to the fan's that speedway already has, rather than the fan's it has'nt :-( it could maybe encourage old fan's to come back, it's got me buzzy already for next season :-) but, let's say if 'One D' or 'Nicky Minga' done a track, how many might take another look ? ciderman
At least it will get watched by people who possibly don't know the sport exists. No such thing as bad publicity as they say.

SCB
I'm confused. It looks like someone has filmed a short documentary/interview and then someone has put music over it.
