Edinburgh 2015.

ERIC Riss could turn out to be the signing of the winter. Those who have seen him ride on speedway tracks rave about him. Good looking kid, great personality, desperate to do well.

I do remember a couple years ago the Speedway Star tipping the next big foreign youngster ready to burst on the speedway scene and both Eric and his brother were ones to watch out for.

In my opinion Härtel, who is current German U21 champ and a couple of years younger than Erik is a better prospect. But fingers crossed all goes well as Germany need a decent prospect or two

I read Hartel wanted to finish his education - (I think).

I'd think that is true.I am not saying Edinburgh have made a mistake and should have signed Härtel, just that i think he will develop into the better speedway rider. But like i say, maybe the Riss brothers(Mark seems to have a problem staying on the bike)and Härtel will all become very good riders.

Maybe Mr B can confirm but i have heard Wolbert has invested in new machinery and expects to improve his average to 6.20 this season :D , is this true and was he really taking the P+ss at us last season because he only had a flymo anything in this Blobby your'e the man in the know after all.

I don't think it's necessarily as simple as that, Cook rode in a title winning team with a very capable partner, Stead probably had little choice other than to 'clear off and win' nine times out of ten.

I don't think anyone was questioning steady's team riding skills more a statement that he was guaranteed a point a race every time whereas there was no guarantee cookie would beat his team mate whether he wanted to our not.

In fact you can prove it just by looking at cookies average for the first month or so of the season when he was partnered by Aaron Fox. For the first 10 matches it was 10.77 but it dropped after Justin went to number 2.

Other thing of note is that the GSA is the rolling average for the last 24 meetings not the entire season. There was a possible 34 matches in the season, 28 league and 6 league cup. Craig was ever present so would be a lot closer to steady for the entire season as those meetings with Aaron were not included in the gsa

Gazc I heard blobby saying it was a nicky clarke hair dryer he was using at the burgervan at armadale he was laughing so hard he spilt his coffee.mmmm... hope he wasnt using them to cook the burgers no wonder he gets gary gliders and cant slide right on his bike.

...must add whos gonna be no1 next season? Richard lawson must be in with shout now hes has full season to score 15 at home 15 at redcar 15 at Sheffield 15 at worky....anyone can add b.t.w if he bangs in max's at your home track. Does that sound smug?

i'd just like to wish all my fellow supporters of the 2014 treble winning Monarchs a fantastic New Year :drink: .Cheers folks and i look forward to watching us start the defence of our title & cups when the 2015 season begins..it cant come quick enough now.I'm really happy with the team our mangement have put together and i'm positive they'll do the Blue & Gold colours proud.I have a feeling young Erik Riss will be a real ace..let's face it,if the coming season is anywhere near as good as 2014 it'll still be an absolute belter..noo bring it oan!!Enjoy yourselves, now i'm away back to hibernate till March lol..see ya :t:
