spin king
ERIC Riss could turn out to be the signing of the winter. Those who have seen him ride on speedway tracks rave about him. Good looking kid, great personality, desperate to do well. I do remember a couple years ago the Speedway Star tipping the next big foreign youngster ready to burst on the speedway scene and both Eric and his brother were ones to watch out for. Arson fire
Did bonus points count in the fisher v kenni debate?? Or are the monarchs moving the goalposts? To suit? I cant recall

In my opinion Härtel, who is current German U21 champ and a couple of years younger than Erik is a better prospect. But fingers crossed all goes well as Germany need a decent prospect or two
TheScotsman
I read Hartel wanted to finish his education - (I think).
iris123
I read Hartel wanted to finish his education - (I think). I'd think that is true.I am not saying Edinburgh have made a mistake and should have signed Härtel, just that i think he will develop into the better speedway rider. But like i say, maybe the Riss brothers(Mark seems to have a problem staying on the bike)and Härtel will all become very good riders. Gazc
6.50 actually Actually i would have thought 6.20 is more realistic don't want to aim too high in case his new machinery turns out to be how will we say this a FLYMO. scotchopper
I don't think it's necessarily as simple as that, Cook rode in a title winning team with a very capable partner, Stead probably had little choice other than to 'clear off and win' nine times out of ten. I don't think anyone was questioning steady's team riding skills more a statement that he was guaranteed a point a race every time whereas there was no guarantee cookie would beat his team mate whether he wanted to our not. Â In fact you can prove it just by looking at cookies average for the first month or so of the season when he was partnered by Aaron Fox. For the first 10 matches it was 10.77 but it dropped after Justin went to number 2. Â Other thing of note is that the GSA is the rolling average for the last 24 meetings not the entire season. There was a possible 34 matches in the season, 28 league and 6 league cup. Craig was ever present so would be a lot closer to steady for the entire season as those meetings with Aaron were not included in the gsa
