Monarchlad
Todd Kurtz could do us a turn, but could it be the other German? Edited December 12, 2014 by Monarchlad
TheScotsman
Not Max Dilger! Anyway he'll probably be at Panthers again.
CaptainAudi
Todd Kurtz won't fit. I calculate 5.90 left and TK is 5.96? I see another Jerry on the horizon!
Mr Blobby
The 5 pointer will be a german. We also tried to get a reduction for tabaka bit that got rejected
Ben91
That's a Matt Wethers size gap. Would probably push his average up by half a point back at Armadale. An assessed 5 pointer puts more pressure on the two reserves to perform and also on Wolbert and Sedgmen who will have to both improve too.
cyclone
The 5 pointer will be a german. We also tried to get a reduction for tabaka bit that got rejected It does not appear there are any promising German newcomers based on 2014 results. If this where we recruit from, fear we may end up with point loss maker á la Marcel Helfer / Danny Maassen

Dekker
Huckenback would have to show far better form MrB to hold a 5pt ave than he has shown so far. Hartel looks promising but is a risk. Edited December 13, 2014 by Dekker

Bagpuss
So as you just pointed out, Justin Sedgemen rode 3 heat with Craig Cook in the PL. Yet last year he rode 2 heats a meeting with Zagar and 2 with Nicholls. Yet there very little in it? So you're suggesting there very little between Zagar/Nicholls and Justin Sedgemen? Thats without looking into which opposing riders he rode against. Pull the other one. If there was nothing in it, why was his EL average only 6.2? Yet he managed 9.2 in the PL? That suggests Cookie found the EL 33% harder. And until any rider is averaging 12, I'd suggest he has something to learn from the league. Yes Poland and Sweden are places' he'll learn more but he'll learn more chasing down the likes of Iversen, Andersen, Janowski, Harris, AJ and Lindgren in the EL that'll he'll learn riding within him ahead of the likes of Wilknson, Franc, Lanham, Wilson, Graversen and Boxall. I guess it depends what he wants, nice comfortable living or to see how good he can really be. All I know is that as a speedway fan it frustrate me to see him seemingly happy to make a comfortable living rather than seeing how good he could be. I'm extremely frustrated too but I have to say I respect him for his choices, loyalty is a rare thing nowadays and he is fiercely loyal to his two British clubs and obviously making a good living so fair play to him. I just hope there are no complaints if he doesn't make the SWC team or struggles in the SGP qualifiers again. Edinburgh look one of the teams to beat once again, along with P'boro & Sheffield. And Somerset subject to changes.
TheScotsman
Perhaps Cookie is hoping to get some rides on the continent too. But you are right, loyalty is a very rare thing nowadays and he obviously couldn't survive on just an EL income. His quote on the Edinburgh website says it all “This club is where my heart is. Anyone who watched the Championship Final video will know how much it means to me.” I have watched the video and it was pretty emotional. Welcome back Cookie, Smiling Sam & Justin.
