Al Stewart
Al, would he still have been offered a testimonial had he signed for a club this winter?? I'm sure he would, why not? He's due one. It was talked about last year but at that point Glasgow had more dates to offer than Edinburgh, though eventually it didn't happen. This year there's no one else offering. Paulco
A unique rider for the fact he is loved by both sets of fans on the great divide . Whether people think he is deserving or not , all of us who turn up on the night certainly will think he deserves his big night and he's sure to be rewarded by a big crowd
SCB
i was only using olly as an example. as long as he didnt withhold his services and never asked for a transfer, he would be granted one. rustyharrison has benen granted one. he has also been loyal to the clubs he rode for. Now Rusty Harrison, thats an even better one. The guy who walked out on Edinburgh, literally. And didn't he take a couple of years out at one time due to health issues?  Funny how there was none of this cross examination when The testimonial was supposed to be at Glasgow last year.......but now because it is now being staged at the Dale, all he'll breaks loose  Get over it Theo has been contracted to Edinburgh for 10 years You're barking up the wrong tree if you think this is an anti-Edinburgh thing. Any number of your fans will confirm that I have a soft spot for Edinburgh and have supported them down south a few times over the years. So it's certainly not that. It testiminials in general. If you read my initial post you'll see it said, "Another joke testimonial" and I wasn't just focusing solely on this one.
Bandit59
If Scotwaste had sponsored for another year would they have got a testimonial ?
Shadders
Now Rusty Harrison, thats an even better one. The guy who walked out on Edinburgh, literally. I was there the day he walked out because the Armadale track was a bit wet.

Lioness
Edinbrugh have announced that fans have launched a monarchs fans trust. Personally i think it's a cracking idea will help the club financially in the long term.  http://www.edinburghmonarchs.co/news/article.asp?id=1947  I have had a quick look at the Trust site (http://www.monarchsfanstrust.co.uk/ ), looking good  I recognise a lot of the 'Association Rules' ! With a couple of football folks involved its no surprise they follow the Supporters Direct model, good work. SD used to have member groups who werent football clubs and its still in their constitution that they are for 'sports clubs supporters groups' - first years membership is free but not sure if they would be able to offer much help as your guys seem to have it well in hand and there is no conflict. Good luck with it!
Django
Genuine question here, how did Masters and Sedgman get back in the country? I presume they had an existing visa with Edinburgh's old sponsor licence number on it, that however was surrendered and a new one granted only a few days ago with surely a new number making their visas invalid, it was my understanding that new visas could only be applied for once the new sponsor licence was granted. Which part have I misunderstood?
TheScotsman
An interim non-working visitor passport perhaps?
smod
There's clearly a conduit by which some Aussies can enter the EU -- not just the two Monarchs, but Ty Proctor has been sighted, and Rohan Tungate, I believe?
