Somerset 2015

Not the managements fault the 42.50 limits fault for a weaker team !!!!!! Now you know how the rest of the teams feel when they have to build a team to a limit you cant keep bringing riders in on false averages finally you have to fall in line with the rest of the league;-)

Rebels look very ordinary now, expect changes during the season.

Ordinary? Josh, Worrall and Kurtz as the heatleaders, supported by Wright and Lanham in the engine room. Don't see that as ordinary. It will take a good side to beat them at the OTA and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Rebels win away from home at some of the bigger tracks.

All 3 heatleaders have plenty of potential to improve.

Top 4 for me.

What teams do keep the same line up come season end? Happy that the Rebels have a decent and competent team. We shall see.

write Rebels off at your peril that's how we like it

It's a team with potential but you have to concede there are huge question marks. Worrall and Josh are both good young riders but if you're going to push on one of them needs to be that out and out number 1. Put a point on the average. Kurtz is a no brainier he will push on, quality lad. Charles Wright, steady second string. Lanham, on a downward spiral for a long time now. He won't consistently do it for you on the road.

Reserves Starke I really like him, could push on into the top 5. Good rider. Digger will do well to hold a 3 point average. You have a promotion who made changes and won you the league in 2013 and I think they mAy have to do the same again

Ha ha new year same old stuff, most riders all say that the OTA is a great strip for racing, very few riders ever complain about it being a "homer". The majority of riders who have ridden regularly for opposing teams go well, last season was a bit of an exception where the whole Rebels team were on the top of their game from day one. Brady Kurtz recorded one of the fastest times of the season in his first ride ever last March btw. While we are on the subject the Pairs has never been a better and more open event since it has been held at Somerset.

I am of the opinion that the PL should have compulsory Brits at reserve, however that isnt the case so teams will build to what is in their opinion the strongest side. I do know that at least 1 Brit was approached but his demands were excessive.

The demands will be excessive when they know they can virtually hold promotions to ransom

bassed on what facts

the rider wasnt signed so he either didnt want to ride or he wanted too much

another rider was found so he had nothing worth holding to ransom as you put it

there is riders out there looking for team places they may all not be good enough or on the wrong average but there are plenty of options so no team will be held to ransom

Agreed. Most visiting riders interviewed stated they liked the Somerset track. Ulrich Ostergrad, Richie Worrall, Danny King, Patrick Hougaard, Stuart Robson, to name a few, all mentioned the OTA as one of their favourites.

Not forgetting the great Jason Crump no less who described it as a very cool track.

If it's "Fixed" points and travel money as it should and have been and hopefully was in the EL last season it's doable.

Congratulations on your new arrival but the burning question on the forum must be has he got a Bandits or Rockets Romper Race Suit.
