Lord Lucan
Would it not be easier to just have a 6pt average applied to "every" import rider irrespective of where they originate from so no matter whom you pick they will start from that figure then everyone knows what they are dealing with, without, having to go through all of this every single year?

springdale
Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone Promoter or BSPA could give some info as to what is happening, every since this saga with Jack Holder's average began the BSPA and the Somerset promotion have not had the decency to even mention it, so much for keeping fans informed

womble53
Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone Promoter or BSPA could give some info as to what is happening, every since this saga with Jack Holder's average began the BSPA and the Somerset promotion have not had the decency to even mention it, so much for keeping fans informed Think you'll find it was covered in detail by both in the Speedway Star just before Christmas. It appears that the BSPA will be meeting with the UK Visa & Immigration in the New Year to discuss the situation over Non EU riders, and until that meeting is concluded, and the whole thing is finally clarified, neither have anything to announce.......So what 's the point in making an announcement, until you have something to announce For what it's worth, my opinion is that the UKV&I will not move away from the 7pt average, and the BSPA will have to adhere to it, but until that is decided, no proper decisions can be made on the riders concerned, even then they may not qualify for a visa, so again there's really nothing to say. EIS002
Leigh Lanham would be a steal on 4.90 and wish he was back at Sheffield in 2015.

EnglishRoundabout
2 spring to mind Sneddon or Lanham I reckon the Somerset management will show a little more imagination than that!
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Why, it's only gone one way the last few years and that's down.it went down last year but had actually improved the previous season your comment is factually wrong. Agree that Leigh will no longer hit the scores of a No1 but still capable of significant improvement on his final 2014 figure particularly if he slots in at reserve somewhere. Few realise just how bad his injuries were last year.He had a bad smash at the end of 2013 which he had barely recovered from to start with and was far from fit at the end when he returned. His back severely restricted his movement which hampered his riding. As an example he couldnt lift an engine from the floor to a car boot but was still riding.
Gavan
Why, it's only gone one way the last few years and that's down.wrong there his average went up 2 seasons ago. Forget what Lanham was he isn't a heat leader anymore but you would have a rider on 4.90 who could easily average 6.50 especially at reserve. Granted he isn't one to build for the future but I would be amazed if he didnt improve his starting average

CaptainAudi
He'd be riding at numer 2,starke is ony 4.67 I think If that was who Somerset went for then IMO he would be good at #4 to provide some experience beside young BK who will most likely be at #3.
