Taylorj
Sounds to me like the UKBA are unlikely to change their mind. I think the thing is Somerset have announced a team based upon a rider having a 5.00 average when they clearly knew he would be on a 7.00. That's not cheating or rule bending, its stupidity. For all those saying Somerset have built an excellent team and all credit to the promotion, I am sure anyone can build such a team by ignoring the rules of the sport. To me, Kurtz's 5.00 average last season could be seen as correct. Holder's 5.00 most certainly is not. It makes the PL a farce really, Somerset shouldn't be allowed to get away with it!! Win at all costs yet again . All this garbage "the team to beat " just remember we had that tag last season and got no where . The BSPA need to throw this team out to re declare fairly like the rest of the PL . Berwick haven't declared their full 7 so have the benefit of the doubt . No surprise with Josh going back , that was on the cards from October . Goes with my best wishes but you really didn't have to pull the "polish commitments " bull . No rider is bigger than any team . The Poole of The PL strike again

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Another major change in the regs that is not announced! Do Somerset have a leg to stand on? Who knows until there is official statements to confirn the change or not. I for one had no inkling of this increase and nothing had been brought up when others signed elsewhere. I jumped on the Kurtz bandwagon last year because I thought it was wrong. With Holder Im yet to be convinced it is a similar attempt to push the limit (pun intended)

Arson fire
Its no coincidence that shenanigans surround the same 2 clubs year on year, its no coincidence they tend to share riders, its no coincidence they are always challenging or winning year on year. Are the others simply pi$$ing against the wind??

Cliffeboy
oh how smarmy.... Did you actually go and support them? Or just watch the updates with scarf and pompom hat on? Bit difficult for me to attend these days due to my circumstances, it's a 320 mile round trip. We used to have property down there so it was a lot easier and my life situation was different. I would LOVE to be in the situation I was in in those days still never mind. It does not stop me supporting and following Rebels just because I am not there every week. Ha ha I'm sort of the regular Somerset guy having the banter with the other guys on the updates site. I always go to Rye and used to go to Reading for the away fixtures and have also been to Leicester . Shads may well have been to more matches than me,but then again if his life style dictated that speedway could not be accommodated in trips to the OTA one would imagine he also wouldn't go that often. I'm guessing your home track is fairly close to where you live, lucky you, if your track closed tomorrow would you be as frequent as you are now, unlikely. scaramanga
It would appear that other teams have not based team building on the 7.00 ave, as both Arthur Sissis & Jake Allen have been brought in by their respective teams on 5.00 averages, something which the snipers on here have conveniently glossed over both thoose riders have been questioned in other threads
foamfence
Why as worky opened up about jack holder and Somerset. When sissis was signed before on a 5 point average yet no one batted an eye lid. Sissis has dual nationality with one parent from the EU.

SteveLyric2
Aside from the Holder issue, where has the 'reduced reserve averages' come from? Did I miss that in the AGM statement?
CaptainAudi
Aside from the Holder issue, where has the 'reduced reserve averages' come from? Did I miss that in the AGM statement? I'm sure there is a 2.5% reduction for riders in their first 3 years (I think it's 3) after they leave the NL.
scaramanga
without holder i get the other 6 to 37.52 so even holder on a 5 the team is over the limit something not right somewhere either the averages listed or just total mess up of team building I'm sure there is a 2.5% reduction for riders in their first 3 years (I think it's 3) after they leave the NL. i was told in another thread there was no longer any reduction

Phil The Ace
Fair enough about sissis. Didd'nt know that. Thanks guys. Won't be the first time Somerset will have to sack a rider before a wheel is turned
