Jonny the spud
The only problem with people getting drunk at speedway is that some of them tend to post on here before they sober up.
StevePark
I wouldn't have a problem dressing up and getting drunk at speedway and enjoying myself. I thought going out and enjoying yourself was part of it.  Never stopped the Redcar fans. .   If only Barry Hearn had chosen speedway instead of darts. Having said that I love my darts, so I can't complain  I said something like this on another thread a while back. Speedway needs a kick up the backside, relaunch itself somehow, new ideas from new/different people, otherwise it will just 'plod on' and eventually die. oldtimer
There are many good things about the Premier League, however I have only attended five matches this season (once used to be a season ticket holder) and that's because of missing riders, either doubling up or in foreign competitions, that's killed it for me.
2ndbendbeerhut
No one ever sticks around for the second half, what about 4 heats, one second half race, another 4 heats , another second half race etc.... Â the second halfers get a ride in front of a crowd, the public get a few more heats? everyone's a winner But then the ones that always leave after heat 14 at Foxhall would see even less of the main match! TheScotsman
But then the ones that always leave after heat 14 at Foxhall would see even less of the main match! Â Don't announce who's in each race and see if they notice!!
john birch
What doesn't work well is the playoff format. Two years running a team has lost it's first home match and we get left with dead rubbers like Berwick v Worky. Why oh why can't we have the Swedish formula where top two go straight to semi final to meet the winners of the next four round. Allowing team finishing third to choose opponent you could have had Ippo v Scunny, Worky v Berwick - all win or bust and maybe attract a few travelling fans instead of the daft groups and too many matches we have now.
