Jouni Seppänen is the race co-ordinator for FIM, so FIM/he should know.

The Individual Swedish championship final in Uppsala have been cancelled. The organizer, Funbo MS, says

that economic reasons are behind it and it is now known if another organizer is able to take it on.

Is their not a case for qualifiers and the Challenge being held on indoor tracks...they only need to find 2 or 3.

Sounds easy.Obviously isn't.Trouble is,most indoor tracks are used for speed skating(even Berlin which is outdoors)and we are in the speed skating season........generally the tracks are only given over to Ice Speedway after their season has finished at each track, which is why the ice season in Western Europe only really starts at the end of february and finishes a few weeks later.A few years ago when i was in Dresden(which is also an artificial outdoor track) the temps were over 20°+!!!!

So where's the controversy regarding the picks? They okay?

Daniel Henderson said to Smederna.nu that he was disappointed to not getting a pick since a few of those who got picked finished after him at Strömsund.

I can understand his point but I have no opinion on the actual matter.

It's not fair they only gave Antonin Klatovsky the first reserve spot, and then included Weber, Jarf and Stellingwerf which all three scored a lower result then the Czech rider.

But I think that Klabo will ride anyway in the first few GP's as I don't think that Koltakov will be ready.

Stellingwerf is only in because of nationality anyway.Klabo is shall we say a bit colourful in his riding and seems to be losing form over the past few seasons, but is a better rider. So that is an improvement, rider wise at least

Spoke with Seppänen yesterday in an official capacity. St Johann is currently the only club interested(/that has applied) in hosting the Challenge, so there really is a limited amount of options for FIM who to give it to.
