Ftd Reserves

SCB

Recommended Posts

Of course one of the main things about the FTD system is that it catches the best of the young talent between the devil and the deep blue. If a young rider fancies his chances with the big boys he gets no assistance, but he might earn decent money on a proper contract. Alternatively and like the mediocre but British riders he could get a cheap labour contract but a helping hand from the system.

The reserve slots should be for u21's whether in the draft or not. KL should have been able to field Lambert (at whatever his GSA is) plus 1 FTD rider in the same way that Stal Gorzów can field Zmarzlik (Ave = 8ish) at reserve on a contract that pays the rider his true value until the rider is 21.

This also has another hidden agenda for some teams... LETS KEEP THESE TOP DRAFT RESERVES AT RESERVE!!

Why promote them up into the 1-5? Dominate all reserves races, and free to use them to replace any 1-5 riders in a meeting!!

Upgrade the money via back handers, the brown envelopers.......

If you could virtually guarantee to get 20+ points from your reserves, your 1-5 then only need to bag 26 between them to win meetings.... You see where I'm coming from........??

Lamberts couldn't have been in the fast track system this year, because he didn't have a PL average. And we all know how important that was.

They would have had to have placed him at the bottom of the list.....................:rofl:

The wonders of manipulation.................

Because he was under 16 at the start of the season he wasn't eligible for a 1-5 place either - but that didn't seem to make any difference.

It was April before he was able to ride wasn't it? Kings Lynn got around the problem by not having a league fixture until he was of an age to ride for the team, with the early weeks of the season featuring an individual meeting and the challenge match with Falubaz Zielona Gora, and a raft of NL meetings. Crafty.

I noticed he isn't in many Kings Lynn fans 1-5 wish list. He can come to Coventry if he likes 😉

Should be the first name on the team sheet for me, and hopefully he'll be doing PL too. Porsing will probably be the one who misses out and I think he can do somebody a good job as a second string.

I hope that Robert Lambert can build a good career for himself despite not getting any help from the BSPA. Didn't I read somewhere in the past year that he feels more gratitude is owing by him to the German speedway authorities who have positively helped him in his fledgeling career than he does to the BSPA?

Anyway, let's see how he compares in the long run with some of the riders of his age group about to spring onto the scene in Poland - http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/484882/oni-moga-kiedys-rzadzic-w-polskim-zuzlu

Lambert needs all the help he can get he has the makings of a future world champion and the powers that be seem to do all they can to get in his way to riding to his full potential.

They should be behind him 100% and trying to bring him on in the sport, with finances and traing to ride even better than he is doing now. But what do they do nothing as with all the young British lads in the past.
