stevebrum
Thanks for the apology to Matt Ford SB. I do love a good 'squirm'!!! Hardly a squirm. Its never an issue to apologies if you are in the wrong. Plus you may have noticed the `on this occasion` part of the quote that puts things into better context. weatherwatcher
I just hope that the 5 or six young riders who have shown that they have given thier all in the FTR scheme this year and have proven that they can hold thier own against most of the other teams main nos 1 to 5 riders will be given the chance of a team place this next season. Just hope that some of the promoters have got the gut to risk giving them a chance to prove that we have lads from this country who if they had been given the chance earlier, would now have been riding in the bunch of the team for the past couple of years and showing that this country can still produce top class riders. But we would rather give the team places to a load of overseas riders who come over here for a weeks then leave withouth saying anything as happened with Leicester this year. Than give our young lads a bite at the bullet.
superguest
I am sure i read it was the lads choice. Plus i believe the limited wage played a big part in it too. Lynn should have made him ride at reserve imo purely for his progression in the future imo. Time will tell if hes good enough, but next season is going to be a big one for him! Personally speaking i think the lad more than did his job in the main body of the team.
weatherwatcher
He actually rode quite well, the only times I saw him that he really struggled to come to grips was when the track was wet which was the case in the dreaded play off. He just can't seem to get to grips of riding on a muddy track. He needs a few leasons from Bomber to point him in the right direstion there, Other than that he held his own and should be proud of what he achieved.

Crazy robin
expect draft fiddle round 2 next season.... The one rule that should've been brought in was that both reserves had to have 4 rides but surprise, surprise that didn't happen!!!!!
stevebrum
I am glad the Draft has been kept and strengthened. It should give ALL teams a decent 6th rider and increase the strength of the reserve programme. Delighted they are giving the likes of Birks, Auty etc a chance as they should have been included from Day 1. We have to look after ALL Brits that want to progress. SCB
At the moment I think they have the draft right. Thought I guess we'll have to see how it works in a few weeks time.
Woz01
Apparently the draft list is ready. Craig Cook not happy that Richie Worrall wasn't asked.

The top 2 from last season will still have Newman & Kerr so guess another season of domination which will be great for the sport.

More chance for EVERY team to have at least 1 strong reserve tho!
therefused
The top 2 from last season will still have Newman & Kerr so guess another season of domination which will be great for the sport. not really because auty, birks, roynon, newman, kerr, garrity, worrall, blackbird are all at the same level as each other really so i wouldnt say poole/lynn would have an advantage at all.
SCB
Based on PL average Auty at least is better than Newman. Fully fit Roynon and Birks are too. Blackbird was the top draft rider this year by some distance too plus Worrall and Garrity was on a par with Kerr and Newman. I don't think theres a lot to choose between them. Woz01
Reserve pairing will be a lot more fairer, I can't call who will be the best number 6 next year.
speedy17
Surely the more crucial part is who the 10 category B riders are as this will dictate how close pairings on the whole will be.
