Coventry 2015

Recommended Posts

woodwards a mile better, joonas has been dreadful in his last stint at eastbourne, miles too many last places

Hardly fair, Kylmakorpi spent 85% of the season as a heatleader. Woodward about 50%. In Joonas' strint as a second strings in Eastbournes last 7 meetings he average 6.75 and 6 or those 7 meetings were away from home - his worst two meetings were at Coventry in a double header (5 in each) and he also had to go to Poole and a very good at home BV.

I do accept Joonas didn't have the best of season last year but they're the rider who make the better signings this year thanks to speedways points limit.

Amazing how some on here will always turn good news into an opportunity for a cheap shot at a promotion that shows repeatedly that they are serious about winning. Still haven't seen any answer to my earlier question: Why does M Horton still have so many knockers on here?? A lot of innuendo and snide remarks, but no-one has come out and said why they hate him so much. Do you want a winning speedway team or a lovey-dovey promoter?

Not a cheap shot at all, more an observation out of frustration,if you want the best get the best to start with, unless of course Mick is trying a bit of gamesmanship

Wasn`t going to go on Friday but hey its looking better already, no doubt this will have perked up a lot of people, an exiting team to watch ( hopefully ) should be a decent crowd weather permitting.........

Well i was going expecting to see Jamrog tootle round at the back, how things change in a few days. I believe the weather forecast is looking a bit better than it was earlier in the week.

Credit to horton. Last years team made the final and was one of the best in ages.

This year he has put together another strong looking side. Good luck to him.

You don't give up do you Dick. You will hate it if MH makes a success of promoting Coventry!

Just adding something that SCB raised, for the record I think Kylmakorpi makes the Bees significantly stronger.

I have absolutely no problem with Coventry or its fans either come to that, apart from the odd one or two that every club has.

Don't honestly remember that one, can't see why we would do that.

Obviously a much better rider than Jamrog which makes you wonder why Kylmarkorpi wasn't signed in the first place.

Lowered his demands maybe? Won by 12 at home with Jamrog scoring 1 so maybe decided pay what Kylmakorpi wants and be one of the favourites? Either way it doesn't matter and it's a great move.

I would imagine the away meeting played more. Lot by 30ish. With Jamrog scoring 0. Have a rider who would score 7 and suddenly thats only a 16 point loss, still a lot but throw in Hans score 7 too and suddenly its a 6 point loss. That only requires you to find 3 more points somewhere for the draw. It's only small differences between the good and the bad in speedway in part because every point you gain is also one less for your opponents so it double any gains.

Hopefully we'll see this in practice in a week and a half when we're back at Leicester.

I wouldn't raise your hopes up too much about doing well at Leicester.

I wonder if he's thinking of Peter Kildemande? (Sorry, I've forgotten how to spell his name now.)

So we have not even started the new seson properlly and we see the first rider getting the chop, not that it was unexpected, as he just wasn't up to riding in the EL. Can't for the life of me see why they signed him in the first place. It must have been speedway politics that was in action. Hope he can find a place in the PL and bring himself on a bit, but he may be to late now as there are not any places left, or are they. Hope we don't see more of this majic roundabout business, with riders getting booted and riders swapping clubs. It would be nice for once to see all the teams settle down into some sort of order, so that we the fans have some idea who actually races for us, one week to the next.

Far to much, did we have to suffer last season with guest riders and rider replacements. Was sorry to see that the Lions are having to already look for a replacement for Jason Doyle, when he riders in the Pais for Australia. So that is just 2 weeks he will miss out, how many more as the season goes on.
