Trouble for Jakob is that he is a 5.5 rider shoved into a 6.8 role.

The only other way to take the weight of expectation off him would be to sign a 6 point rider for robbo and then he could ride supported by a decent top four.

Not going to happen I know!

I just hope he can rise to the challenge and take the chance he has been given.

If it goes the way of the pear for him it's up to the Bees to make a decisive and positive change whilst the averages allow.

Spot on, it's not really Jamrog's fault that this Bees team is likely to become cannon fodder home and away. The removal of a decent number four has completely ruined the integrity of the team. King need some pressure applied to him in the third heat leader berth, but he can now continue to be woefully inconsistent and stay at number 3 all year.

I can't even see us beating Wolves. Wells and Karlsson will eat Robbo and Jamrog for breakfast, and Freddie and Thorssell will take enough points off our top three to see them safely home.

The same Robson that scored 15+2 v Wolves at the back end of the season while Karlsson scored 4! A double figure score in the other time he guested at number 2. King scored 12 of Wolves 34 points that night. We still don't know how Jamrog will turn out yet at Brandon so no one knows how it will pan out. Changes can also be made if riders are not performing. With a bit of luck the planning applications for Brandon will all fall through and then the owners will be left in a sticky situation. Either carry on as things are or close the place altogether, let mother nature reclaim it and then get the council on their backs to do something with the site. This has happened to far to many speedway clubs, if they decide to close a stadium and there is still a team in place, then something should be done to find them and also to build them a new stadium.

I have been following the delema's of Weymouth speedway over the last few years, their old track is now just waste ground with none of the building that they where told was happening came to fruit and they have had 3 other sites turned down and are still trying to find somewhere in Weymouth to build a new track, the council have given them no support what so ever.

I hope that this dosn't happen at Brandon and that the Bees carry on racing for many years to come.

What the sport needs is more places for riders to practice and train, I am afraid that the sport of speedway is very low on the rungs of British sport and we are treated as nothing but second class citizens.

you seem to be always defending Jamrog

I dont see how thats defending him, it's what I believe I seen. His scores are not good enough and I'm offering an opinion on why that is. If he doesn't sort it he will deserve to be shipped out. All I'm saying is I believe it a set up issue that he can't get out of the gate, there is no drive and he is 15 yards behind everyone else going into the 1st bend. He doesn't gate that badly in Poland I'm sure looking at his scores.

Watching Jamrog he is certainly quick enough but he is miles behind out of the gate. Can only be a set up issue, his practice starts have no drive either.

I thought he looked alright in practice but that's the second meeting I've watched him in and he's nowhere near on the pace. 3 of the reserves Garrity, Sarj & Auty were miles quicker than him and even Simon Lambert gave him a good run for his money, did he not get beaten by Max Clegg at Swindon too?

He's a million miles away from being a 6-7 point EL rider, the club need to stop kidding themselves that he'll settle in because he won't improve that quickly and we need someone who can score points now.

Wozniak had never even seen the place and he was head and shoulders better.

So you don't think he was quick enough but was slow out of the gate? Everyone around me had the same opinion as me. He was miles behind Lambert and past him but if he isn't going to get out of the gate then he will need to be replaced as he can't give 10 yard advantage to riders going into the first bend. He was literally standing still at the start line. Think Horton might be looking to replace him soon. Edited by woz01

Wonder if he had spoke to Ulamek, Nermark, buzz as all would be an improvement. Sundstrom's average would fit if waited until new averages come out but could be a risk as other averages could go up to high and also could lose too many points by then.

Can't agree with you I'm afraid mate, I like Simon Lambert but he is one of the weaker reserves this season and Jamrog had to work hard to pass him. Auty, Garrity & Sarj were all miles faster and he never looked liked he was catching up with any of them. He was a long way behind in his last race when there were no reserves in it.

He will definitely improve with experience but not quickly enough, after the Wolves meeting we have some tough opposition coming up and need someone who can score 6-7 points in most meetings, he's not going to do that any time soon.

My biggest complaint last night was the lack of atmosphere. Where was all the current music. I felt like we were in the 70s with that horrible supremes album on repeat. Not going to attract newcomers when most of them plus the riders weren't even born then.

Also I know we no longer have Chris Simpson this year (who was miles better than Yorke than getting the crowd going) but could we please have some winner jingles or music at the start line again.

Couldn't agree more, BRING BACK CHRIS SIMPSON!
