kingbee
Looking at some of the other line ups, I can't see us being top 4 as weak in the 2nd string position but hopefully we will have an entertaining year.the poles not going to be at Cov long I bet he's gone before the end of April .and he has been about a while he's been round the pl and El looking for a place the last 2years

I think he deserves a chance at this level, he will have to average 5.5-6 to stay in the side which quite frankly he should do with the easier heats.

Thing is, he needs to average 6.5 to be an acceptable signing. Bridger and Woodward would have done that. I wonder if he's only declared as a temp signing for Woodward who'll come in once he's fit if it's going wrong?

Richard Sherriff
much negative about the team. please keep the faith I think we will be in the top four and hopefully a injury free season,The team building this year we had some bad luck on riders. Bee 26
I think a few bad meetings for the new pole and people will be on Hortons back, perhaps by then Mads will have changed his mind!!

Will the rolling averages now being over 20 meetings, it could be harder to bring in somebody with a higher average after May or when Woodward is fit as Harris will have a much higher average. Gemini
Regarding bigcatdiarys posts, don't forget that TWICE Mick Horton has left Peterborough in a precarious position. Mildenhall had to drop back to the NL after his involvement too and it took them years to get over his involvement. I think Mick means well and try hard but bites off more thna he can chew - we've seen it many times in his spell at Coventry. I know nothing but just dislike injustices. Okay so the first time apparently he left Peterborough in a precarious position but I don't think he can be blamed for the last time. Heart ruled head to keep the Panthers going in 2014 when it's pretty clear they always struggle to get enough people through the gates to break even. I don't blame him for not wanting to continue this season and I hope the new lot are more successful.

We have over a point spare so if anyone isnt pulling their weight I'd hope a change would happen before new averages are bought in. Depends when Woodward will be fit I suppose. When do the first set of averages come out? May 1st? Edited March 11, 2015 by woz01

Like you say, it does give a month to try things and if it fails get back on the phone to Shamek, Mads, and Joonas.

We have 9 meetings before that date. It gives plenty of time to decide if changes need to be made.
mdmc82
Bet 365 now have us as joint favourites with Wolves for the wooden spoon! Lets hope we can prove them wrong although going to be a big ask when you look at some of the other teams on paper. we are alot weaker in the 2nd string positions Edited March 11, 2015 by mdmc82

Brandon
Just put £5 on the Bees @ 22/1 and £5 on Zagar @ 14/1 for the GP.
deanr1
Bet 365 now have us as joint favourites with Wolves for the wooden spoon! Lets hope we can prove them wrong although going to be a big ask when you look at some of the other teams on paper. we are alot weaker in the 2nd string positions Would have to agree tbh, the league is a lot stronger this year, Poole look really good again, Swindon & KL will be thereabouts, and Lakeside, Leicester & Belle Vue are massively improved from last season. There won't be any easy meetings, and everyone's reserves have improved so Garrity & Sarj will have it tougher. The whole strength of the Bees side was that middle order and effectively having 4 heat leaders, that strength is gone now. But we know that there will be changes along the way and I just wonder if this is just a stop gap signing and Horton already has another rider lined up. I'm looking forward to seeing Jamrog ride, but as I think SCB mentioned he needs to average 6.50 plus to have been a successful signing and I just can't see it. If he can average 5 he will have done well IMO and it's unfair on him to expect much more than that. I can see us having a very tough start to the season but hopefully we will get sorted out in time to be able to have a crack at the play-offs.
G the Bee
It's the injury to Cam Woodward which has done for us. With Woodward in the team, we looked like contenders. Without him, and with Jamrog being an unknown quantity, we look at risk of being also-rans. All we can do is hope that Jamrog surprises a few of us. It's not started yet and as Bees know only too well it's not how you start it's how you finish! First target is the playoffs (which any team other than Wolves should be in contention for) and then it doesn't matter what went before as long as your team click for the playoffs. What's changed? I think you said something along the lines of: After the nightmare of Woodward the only thing we have left is dreams! Woz01
Well if we are joint bottom in the betting then it's superb value. Our top 5 wasn't the best last season but the reserves won us matches, it will be similar this season. We also have a much better number 3 in Danny King. Jamrog is the key, can he do better than Hansen? I think some are writing him off to quickly, ask someone who seen him at Berwick in 2013 what he can do. He has even won a race around Brandon in 59 secs. Even if he does fail it can quickly be changed same for any rider. Hang on Shawn, I seem to remember you saying Woodward was a poor signing for the Bees. What's changed? I think you said something along the lines of: After the nightmare of Woodward the only thing we have left is dreams! To he fair to Shawn he did then say his home and away split was a lot closer than he originally thought, the general consensus was he gained his average mainly as Eastbourne was his home track. Looking at all the sides Woodward would be a very good 2nd string this year.
