Game On
Agree but if going with a pole why not Pawlicki. The big question is how many he misses! Because he's cheap
mdmc82
Because he's cheap In fairness as much as I rate Pawlicki as a rider, he does have a reputation of letting clubs down. Even last year he was declaring himself too injured to ride for Poole yet riding elsewhere.
naffer
Well at least it's not klindt or Fred Perkins. It's a kid with a bit of fire in his belly who sounds like he will be a crowd pleaser and the new format should help him as well. Got to give him a chance to settle in. Up the bees.
Steve0
I think he could prove to be a good signing and shouldbe good to see him progress - definitely worth taking the risk and, if it doesn't work out, should be able to replace with a higher averaged rider - should one become available as the season progresses.
Woz01
Because he's cheapThere are plenty of other riders who would be cheaper. Was hit and miss at the Brandonapolis a couple of years back, fastest time of the night but 2 falls and 2 last places but gained experience in the last year. He is riding in the Ben Fund today although I wouldn't read too much into it whatever he scores. Rode in Argentina this winter and became Argentine Champion. Aces51
You can view his 2014 scores here http://speedwayresults.com/rider.php?name=Jakub&surname=Jamrog&season=2014 He is only 23, so still time for lots of progress but I doubt he will match the sort of scores that Woodward would have achieved this year. orion
Agree but if going with a pole why not Pawlicki. The big question is how many he misses! Before of the money he costs ...The difference between the costs of Pawlicki and this unknown are Poles apart
deanr1
Pleased to see we've signed someone interesting rather than Klindt, although it's asking a lot of him to be pushing Danny King for a third heat leader spot when he's never ridden over here regularly. Hopefully he will do very well for us although we should expect him to take time to adjust. Welcome to the Bees Jakub! Roll on next weekend! oleoleole
I'm pleased with this signing. I know we all support the Brits but he'll add some spice. It will be really interesting to watch his progress and I remember his appearance at the 2013 Brandonapolis very well. Unpredictable and exciting/scary sum it up. I remember his heat win because he seemed to be going too fast for the conditions and I expected him to bury himself in the fence at any moment but he beat three good riders in the fastest time of the night. I hope he can spend more time on the bike than off it and can cope with the smaller tracks. Whatever happens he certainly won't be boring!
BANANAMAN
Bees promoter Mick Horton said: “We’ve left no stone unturned over this last place, we’ve spoken to many riders who aren’t coming back or can’t do it, and we’ve now got to the point where we had to make a decision.“I’ve talked to several riders who have either ridden with Jakuk or seen him race, and they’ve all said he goes very well in Europe.“I’ve also spoken to the lad himself this weekend and he is really, really determined and enthusiastic, and is also all set up to race here with equipment, workshop and mechanic. Give the bloke a chance , I reckon he could be a gem ! .. a breathe of fresh air rather than same old ,same old .. Roll on Friday

Jacques
Very much so when i watched him at Berwick. Well I'm happy if what you saw, we get. The only people that mentioned Klindt were the fans, was he ever really in the frame? Anyway, welcome to Coventry Jakub, don't worry if you can;t understand Havvy, few can Really looking forward to seeing him ride now, I'm with Bananaman, it feels a breath of fresh air, someone to add a bit of spice and excitement to the side Credit where it's due too, looks like good work from Mick Horton here
Robert Lee
Courtesy of Coventry Bees website: POLISH prospect Jakub Jamrog has been named as the final piece in Coventry’s 2015 Elite League jigsaw. The 23-year-old has agreed a deal to join the Buildbase Bees with the new season days away, and he will slot into the second-string position originally earmarked for Cameron Woodward before the Australian was ruled out due to injury, on an assessed 5.50 average. Most of Jamrog’s league racing last year was spent in his home country with Lodz, for whom he recorded several high scores. And he has previous experience of the Coventry circuit as he raced in the 2013 Brandonapolis individual event – with the highlight being a race win over Bjarne Pedersen, Krzysztof Kasprzak and Scott Nicholls in a time of 58.9, which was by a distance the fastest of the night. Bees promoter Mick Horton said: “We’ve left no stone unturned over this last place, we’ve spoken to many riders who aren’t coming back or can’t do it, and we’ve now got to the point where we had to make a decision. “I’ve talked to several riders who have either ridden with Jakuk or seen him race, and they’ve all said he goes very well in Europe. “I’ve also spoken to the lad himself this weekend and he is really, really determined and enthusiastic, and is also all set up to race here with equipment, workshop and mechanic. “Havvy (Gary Havelock) has a good feeling about him, and we feel he is very much worth a shot. We’ve got faith in him and although there’s always a question over Polish riders on small tracks, he has been brought up on small tracks. “He knows what we’re looking for from him, and all I’d say to people is give the lad a chance, and let’s see what he can do.” Jamrog races in Sunday’s Ben Fund Bonanza event at Swindon and will be unveiled as a Coventry rider at press and practice on Friday. Does this mean that Fred Perkins has been snapped up by Poole in place of Darcy .............??

SCB
Averaged more in Poland than Hans, Harris, Bridger, Woodward and Kylmakorpi. Seems keen to ride over here suggesting he won't mess us about. Main thing, he's not Klindt!!
krompa
Jamrog is talented young lad, you guys will like him and his entertaining style. Pretty sure about that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SH3ieewy070
Falcon Hammer
Jamrog rode at Berwick in Ricky's meeting, he was incredible. Very fast and very brave, He looked a cut above a PL rider that night to be honest. You guys are gonna be loving him. Agree, was fantastic at that meeting - went over the fence T1/2 after getting the squeeze from R Worrall & out for the re-run. All heart & action, hope he has a great season
