Tsunami
So are riders self employed or not? As when it suits clubs they are. But then when it suits them not to be they are employed/slaves. Are you on something or on a pisstake. Slaves FFS. A rider is self employed with a contract to ride. No different from a self employed worker hired to complete a job, or for a work period for an employer. It is a partnership with both sides having their own objectives and responsibilities. Not exactly the answer that the doom and gloom merchants would like I suppose.
kingbee
Think we have 6.90 left ... Andersen 8.33 Harris 7.49 King 6.74 Robson 4.54 (PL converted) Total 27.1 Sundstrom's last average was about 7.22 from memory. Can't see any sense in going for Klindt (5.16), massively weakens the Bees. See that Andersen, Tatum and Louis are riding at Bomber's testimonial, perhaps one will come out of retirement to plug the gap I thought his average was in the high six,s maybe SBC can enlighten us
bigcatdiary
So why did Mads average more? Average more riding as a heat leader while Klindt was beating reserves and second strings for his points Lets also not forget Mads has never been know for his gating prowess and more for his racing - something that the Leicester track isn't known for. Mads+Leicester was always going to be a disaster. It's funny how fans at Newport, Swindon, Peterborough and Kings Lynn all speak highly of Mads yet Leicester don't! I certainly didn't rate Mads, his machinery at times was very suspect.

Crazy robin
Am I right in thinking Mads is a Swindon asset?! If so maybe Rosco/Colin Pratt are respecting Mads' decision to miss out on UK this year and haven't given Coventry permission to speak to him?! Maybe that's why Horton is trying to stop his riders from doing the Bob Kilby meeting?! Swindon were interested in Mads so can understand that theory but would be a sad state of affairs in my eyes. Mads is good at Brandon.

SteveLyric2
Think it's going to be klindt Hasn't he got rid of all his UK equipment (after deciding not to ride UK in 2015) so will probably need a loan or something to get himself ready to go?!

If he was going to be riding I would have thought he would have been the choice ahead of Cam or Bridger. You can dream though as more likely to be a PL heatleader or second string. Steve0
How is that going to happen when we have our 2 double uppers? Good point - a currently unemployed PL heatleader or second string it is then
Studland Bee
With Pawlicki back at Coventry this would make this team serious title contenders, I imagine cost is a big factor for Mr Horton, but it would be an exciting team of racers and gate revenue would surely increase once the results come in and with the right publicity. It's good to see Buildbase back as main team sponsors, it was announced fairly late on this year, I was wondering if John Clarke had difficulty convincing the Buildbase directors to stay involved at Coventry. Come on Michael; give the fans what they want, pull that rabbit out the hat!
