INCOGNITO
Harris Garrity Howarth Sarjeant Depends what the limits are next season but King and or Woodward would be good for Coventry as a more balanced team usually suits them and those six would be British based. After his remarks on the Internet about his club it would be interesting if alongside Sarjeant at reserve was Nathan Greaves.

Personally can't see Greaves at Coventry, Not good enough and terrible attitude. We have much better assets on the FTD to join Sergeant

SpeedwayTShirts
A life time ambition of mine to present the Elite League at Coventry which I achieved in 2014, I was gutted to miss the finals but overall really chuffed to have had the opportunity although it wasn't quite how I would have imagined from my childhood days supporting the Bees. The Bees support is strong and with the heritage, these fans deserve a team to support and a track to attend all be it in a tragically dying sport. Lets hope something can revitalise our great sport once again but I'm not holding my breath.
Woz01
So it was nothing to do with short changing the paying customers then? I have obviously misjudged him. Well he can't do that anymore can he? Edited November 3, 2014 by woz01
Dave Jones
Well he can't do that anymore can he? If you mean play the curfew card, then no he can't. If you mean short change the paying customer, then I wouldn't count on that.

Woz01
Surly they knew about a curfew if any I don't believe a wordThe King's Lynn meeting the season before went on till after 11pm. Not so sure it was him that was enforcing the deadline.Misunderstanding with the stadium owners, apparently.. not for the first time.I know what I think happened regarding the curfew especially when you consider what happened with the storm meeting on Friday. I also recall a 2nd half being cancelled due to 'track prep'. Edited November 4, 2014 by woz01
TheSmiler
Really can't see the Bees hanging on to Garrity. Poole or Wolves I think. As long as we focus on Harris, Howarth and Sarjeant we will be ok. Andersen and King have to be considered. I do think there is a huge doubt now about the coming 2 seasons. I'm struggling to stay optimistic that we will race again, even in 2015.

The only thing I'm worried about is the track over the winter, will it get the maintenance it needs? As for Garrity if he isn't in any kind of draft system then I tend to think he could stay on for another year. He seemed to really enjoy working with Havvy and the other lads.

Really hope Coventry find a way to survive.
abbo
Where has this "news" come from that Garrity won't be at Bees next year and speculation that he's going to Wolverhampton.
stevebrum
That's OLD news. Garrity apparently has told Bees fans he knows nothing about it, yet CVS said Garrity had approached HIM about coming to Wolves. Pete Adams even said he wouldn't have touched him with a barge pole a year ago but has been impressed by him this season and is likely to speak to Len Silver in the close season. Who knows which version is true, but I fail to see why a promotion would make up a story like that.

Told you all that Kennett was signing for us 2 years ago, that didn't happen did it? Wouldn't trust a thing that comes out of these Wolves talk-ins. I'm sure they just tell the fans what they want to hear. And TBF, if more clubs held them, I'm sure they'd do the same. It's easy to say you're going to talk to a rider when all your fans want him. It lifts the spirits of everyone in the room when it's all a bit doom and gloom and 15 years ago it worked, the internet means it doesn't work so well now. stevebrum
I certainly would trust the riders less. They more so tell the fans want they want to hear. Like I have said, IF these things come to something so be it. I am not going to lose any sleep if Garrity signs for us or not. The lad will rightly do what is right for his career. If that includes Cov then it will. I would imagine the lad could have the pick of clubs - as it should be. Promotions are known for saying half truths, you only have to look at Sandhu to back that up.
JonHWeiner
Slightly off topic - my family bought me the DVD "Booey - the Nigel Boocock story". It was very interesting and brought back a lot of Bees memories. We were discussing whether Chris Harris could be compared to Nigel Boocock in terms of Bees legends. I suggested it was like asking "can you compare Wayne Rooney with Bobby Charlton?". Is this a reasonable analogy???
