John Leslie
So Robbo is the final rider. A bit disappointing? or not?
paul90210
Quite happy with the team to be honest. If we can provide a grippy track we will be very hard to beat at home
BluPanther
Robbo is a very sensible choice, and gives the team a solid look. Certainties to make the play offs imo...
Steve0
A strong looking side (even without Robbo). Potentially 4 heat leaders and a good couple of reserves - should at least make the playoffs with that team.
EnglishRoundabout
Decent side and Robbo will give it 100% as ever. Beatable at Brandon by track specialists Swindon!
fliss44
Need to strengthen the tapes!!! Personally I'm happy with the choice.
G the Bee
To be honest, most of us were expecting either Robson or Summers so it's not come as a shock. Although none of the new signings have filled me with excitement, I believe the team is stronger than last year's. King gives us the solid third heatleader we missed this year and we certainly will not miss Hansen who was a huge disappointment last season. A shame we could not keep hold of Howarth but these things happen, I suppose. In my opinion, it won't be the signings of Robson and Woodward which will define our season as both are solid enough second strings. I actually hope Woodward might be a bit of a trump card for us and that the move away from Arlington might give his career a bit of a boost (change is as good as a rest and all that). The reserves look pretty well matched in all of the teams this year. If Sarge can continue the kind of improvement he made in the second half of the season we will be a match for anyone, especially around Brandon. I believe Bees' season will be defined by two things: 1) Andersen and Harris. This team should be in contention for a playoff place but, like last season, we won't win anything if our top two cannot beat their opposite numbers at the business end of the season. That means the likes of Iversen, Bjerre, Holder, Jonsson, Zagar... 2) Missing doubling up riders. Last year we had three, but we did not have priority over two of them. That was too many and we had too many meetings where we were missing either Howarth, Garrity or both of them. This year, we have 4! We know we get priority over Sargeant's fixtures as he is a Coventry asset. Likewise, we know Rye House have priority over Garrity's fixtures. Robson is a Lakeside asset and I read somewhere that if a rider is an asset of another EL club and is doubling up then the EL club now gets priority. I hope this is correct. No one seems to know the situation with King as he is now a BSPA asset. Lets hope common sense prevails and we get priority over King's fixtures as well. That will be a huge improvement, in terms of missing riders, over last year. The fans want to see a settled team and this was missing too often last season. One doubling up rider that has priority with another club you can cover for. Two becomes a huge inconvenience. Islander15
I know you'd rather have Garrity than a guest but at least there is a proper system to cover for senior reserves this year.
philfromcov
if king is a BSPA asset, then a few £k will make him our asset and we then get the say, seems a sensible approach to me
mdmc82
Would have personally preferred Summers as feel better rider out of the 2 and less likely to go through tapes. Time will tell though.

Woz01
Robson will make a mockery of that sub 5pt average he will start on. He will prove to be a match winner often at home, he has had some excellent performances at Brandon recently. dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Why would 'common sense prevail' if Cov get priority with King? Signed for Ipswich first so priority should go there.
Bee 26
Happy with Robbo, better rider than Summers especially away from home. Put in some great performances guesting for Bees last year.
G the Bee
Why would 'common sense prevail' if Cov get priority with King? Signed for Ipswich first so priority should go there. Because who signed for who first has never been a factor in deciding a rider's priority club. It used to be that PL teams took priority but has now moved towards an asset based system. As I understand it, if a rider is riding in both EL and PL, and is the asset of an EL club then the EL club who he rides for has priority. Danny King is an asset of the BSPA. Previously to that, he was an asset of the Alan Philips Birmingham promotion which was an EL promotion. Common sense states that he is first and foremost, an EL rider who is doubling down (as opposed to riders like Howarth and Garrity who are PL riders doubling up). The fact that he put pen to paper with a PL side first is irrelevant.
Jacques
Solid, dependable, exciting to watch and a top bloke! I'm pleased with the completed team. Welcome back Robbo Edited January 2, 2015 by Jacques
Aces51
I've always liked Robbo. Good to watch and gives 100%. Having said that he does seem to be far too eager these days to try to get a flyer. Edited January 2, 2015 by Aces51
Studland Bee
Am really pleased to see Stuart back in the team, a very good signing in my opinion. I would much rather have a rider that can come from the back if need be and provide the entertainment we all love to see. Stuart is an out and out racer and loves riding for Coventry. Over the years he has become a true professional and a real team player. Cant wait until March!
