SCB
while what you put there makes sense, surely that defeats the whole point of the draft and opens a can of worms with other draft riders demanding more money from clubs. costs then spiral and your paying a reserve more money than your second string riders Screw it, needs must and all that If the choices are Jason in reserve and paying him a bit more or him being in the 1-5 and us being under the points limit then I say pay him more
Phil The Ace
Think about it. If Woodward will be a 2nd strings it kind of means u will have a low average 5th rider. I've heard jason is staying. Somebody said he doesn't want to be in the FTD. If true then put 2&2 together and u get Garrity as ur 5th rider

Unless we're going to get a shock and sign AJ and not Hans. I'm not saying it's not the clubs plan but if it is, oh dear! Personally wouldn't have Hans back, poor in the play offs and certainly not the rider he was. King i would have, guested for Poole in the play offs and rode pretty well at Coventry. Bearing in mind we know Bomber needs a number 1 in a team with him. AJ? But he's not ever going to get a 9.66 average so you're going to lose 1.5 off that for a start. Doyle? Not sure he likes our track so not likely. Who else might be available? Hans may not be the rider he once was but he's settled down in the last 3 or 4 seasons as an 8.5 rider and was one of the few heat leaders to maintain or increase their average in 2014 (8.34 vs 8.33) Edited November 25, 2014 by SCB

Woz01
Well we will find out tomorrow with regards to Garrity. If he isn't in the draft he is likely to be our 1-5 although if we were to have home surely it would be at reserve. I'm sure it's quite easy to pay riders a little extra, you can do it through sponsorship etc.

SCB
Either way Garrity will be at coventry. Trust me so more duff into to come from CVS then?! He's a worse rumour monger than anyone on here! And to think promoters moan about the BSF, maybe they should get CVS to shut up, often spouting crap and his talk in - often about Coventry too! Erm no he doesn't CVS Berntzon himself said he was going to Wolves in 2015 and has now decided against it. Shame when the facts don't fit. T.N.T.
Firstly Garrity was mentioned slightly at the talk in butat no time did they say he was signing for Wolves. Berntzon has been a long time target but he only wants to do Sweden two nights and Poland and feels riding in Britain on various race nights is not what he needs at the moment. If he signs elsewhere mid season then fair play to who gets him as the same could be said of Tai also but no doubt Wolves will look at their own assets to fill most of the team. If Garrity isn't protected then Wolves would obviously be interested as would any club but there are seven good reserves available in Grade A and any should do a good job. It was said at the Wolves talk in that Daniel King was looked at but he has signed for an Elite League club at the weekend. If this was Coventry then wouldn't they announce it with Woodward ? stevebrum
And if he signs for another EL club.......... No issue. The rider put in print he was coming to Wolves in 2015. Nothing to do with anything CVS said (in fact he was quite dismissive earlier in the season about it when questioned). If he signs for another club his circumstances have changed, much in the same way they have since OB himself said he would come to start the season with Wolves. There is no issue. philfromcov
perhaps garrity doesnt want to be in the draft because: he is ambitious and wants to step up and wants to get paid more than £2.99 a point!
