Coventry 2015

Touch FM (Coventry) news have just reported on a meeting being set up with the leader of Rugby Borough Council and the owners of Coventry Stadium to discuss local concerns and those supporters of speedway and stock car racing.

This was mentioned at the Save Brandon Stadium meeting last month, good to hear it's happening so soon.

Yes I noticed it was in the report of the meeting on FB - I couldn't get to the meeting. I presume it will be Councillor Stokes who will be meeting the owners of the stadium. Fingers crossed!

Have the new averages come out yet and if so, do we know how the team will line up next week? Obviously we don't know who, if anyone, will replace Robbo.

Yes new averages are now out

Harris 7.09. Kylmakorpi. 7.00. King 6.71

Andersen 6.59. Robson. 4.92

Harris confirmed as riding at no 1

Would imagine JK will move to 5 and Hans to number 4 with king staying at 3 although not confirmed.

As for Robson, he's been signed off for 3 weeks at the moment so could be back 20th which I imagine will mean guests for Swindon away & Leicester at home. Can't see the promotion strengthening the team.

mdmc82, that sounds logical. The 3/4 pairing looks strong and I think Joonas will do OK at 5.

If they use R/R for Robbo at Swindon, who can take his rides? Can Hans at No.4 take one of them? I never quite understand how it works!!!!

I've got a day off next Thursday so I wonder what to do

You would be most welcome at Blunsdon, as I am sure any bees fan would be, that night for what should be a good meeting.

I think only magic has increased his average so you could argue that all the heat leaders have failed this season.

Only Magic and Doyle have managed to up their averages this year. Harris & Nicholls have stayed around their starting averages.

From the starting top 2 of each team from March until now, the eight riders to drop their averages the most are:

1) Freddie Lindgren (-2.46)

2) Tobiasz Musielak (-1.90)

3) Hans Andersen. (-1.74)

4) Andreas Jonsson (-1.47)

5) Kenneth Bjerre. (-1.19)

6) Chris Holder (-0.90)

7) Matej Zagar. (-0.90)

8) Mikkel Bech. (-0.74)

I never know what to expect with Hans. He can have a really good meeting away but then the next he's back to scoring 2.

You could say that but in my view Hans is nowhere near the rider he was and may struggle even at second string.

I'm amazed at the drop in several proven heat leaders this and last year.
