SCB
“We are currently top of the league so why would we consider changes? Because we learnt in the last few weeks that Poole are better over two legs and thats all that matters now. We're as good as in the play-offs so now we have to start building to win the play-offs. That may mean keeping the same 1-7 but obviously may mean a change of tactic to make sure we can beat Poole over two legs.

Bees_Man
As it stands we don't appear to be be able to beat Poole, so the just rule out changes especially if we have points to play with seems odd.

Bee 26
This current team isn't strong enough to beat Poole over 2 legs. To rule out changes with the points we have to play with is madness
Woz01
COVENTRY Speedway wish to quash speculation that Darcy Ward could be heading to Brandon next month. The Australian stars suspension expires at the end of June and he has been linked with several Elite League teams should he not be required by parent club Poole. However, he will not be joining the Buildbase Bees, and moreover this has never been an option considered by the management with their 2015 team having been at or near the top of the Elite League table throughout the season. Promoter Mick Horton said: Coventry Speedway have never been interested in signing Darcy Ward. As much as I rate Darcy as a rider, him joining Coventry would never be an option and to be honest Darcy probably feels the same. We are currently top of the league so why would we consider changes? Our team spirit is the best in the league, as we saw again at Belle Vue on Monday. Fridays return match against the Aces will be just as tough as last night, and we need to hit the ground running. Think we are missing a trick here by not improving the 2nd string. This is where Poole are ruthless and the rest are not.

mdmc82
At the moment Zengota is still a member of Swindons team. We will have to wait and see if Horton thinks about any changes if he soon becomes available.
Woz01
Total lack of forward thinking I agree. There are options out there I'm sure, other sides are looking to improve so should we. Although I think we'd have a chance against anybody in the playoffs we would not be favourites as things stand.

jrs
Think we are missing a trick here by not improving the 2nd string. This is where Poole are ruthless and the rest are not.If I was the promoter at Coventry or Swindon or for that matter any team expecting to be in the play-offs the last thing I would do would be to take a Poole Agent(rider) on loan. Cov need to use the points available to strengthen the team or once again they will lose out. The other teams will certainly do their utmost to strengthen for the play-offs.

Understand what you're saying but there are few options for a top man who are not Poole assets( Ward, Pawlicki, Lindback, Kasperzak). What I do find amusing though, people actually believed the hype and sh!ite from posts here about Ward coming to the Bees You've also spoilt some fun posting that so soon Neil! Because we learnt in the last few weeks that Poole are better over two legs and thats all that matters now. We're as good as in the play-offs so now we have to start building to win the play-offs. We'll be found wanting, if something happens to one of our lynch pins like Garrity and Hans decides to go on holiday again
