A ORLOV
Are you sure about that? I thought the money went straight to GSI. 99% sure, The money goes to the club but it may go to the club via GSI or BSPA
SteveLyric2
Not much new on the BBC Tapes up programme other than Mick saying 'its not about the money - its the principle'!! I wish Mick and Havvy would decide on their stance and then stick to it!!!
SCB
Principal? So what about the fact 2 of the last 3 meetings I have been to at Brandon have been rained off at heat 10 and the promoter told me I know how it works? Principal my arse! orion
Mick doesn't say he will pull out, just the club will pull out of the EL. Don't blame him if he's losing money through no fault of anyone at the club. Who sign up to the rules including the tv matches ? who choose to charge full price for a tv match ? stevebrum
Mick Horton announces Bees may not be in EL next year after the farce of last week, losing thousands of pounds from the meeting. " Financially it was a huge loss for the club. It's not right". Here we go again, more threats from the Bees promotion.
orion
Here we go again, more threats from the Bees promotion. And pointless as well ...they won't let cov into the pl for a start ...it's nothing new anyhow as his toys come out of the pram every year no matter what club he is in charge of .
1 valve
what is the latest news on the future of speedway at Brandon and alternative venues for the Bees if they need to find one?
Midland Red
It would appear one and a bit seasons to go at Brandon and no alternative in sight. Time is running out to get something sorted for the 2107 season. Gosh! I shall be 160 y.o then - will I still get a concession at the gate?

proud panther
REALLY hope I am wrong, but I think we will lose a few clubs in the next couple of years, including Coventry.

In an ideal world all councils will get behind their Towns/Cities speedway teams and help them finance a new stadium, then and only then can we begin to build a stronger foundation for the future of our sport, local kids can do what they do in Poland and use the facilities, matches can all be ran on the same night and the GP stars will return. One can only dream.

One that should have materialised when the sport was huge in this country 😐 Can you just imagine 😀 Edited June 15, 2015 by Trees

Councils have to be convinced.

Rugby Council did seem quite keen to keep the sport in the area.

SCB
Is keep Hans, if only because there's nobody to replace him. But replace Robbo in a couple of weeks with the 6.5 points available and in August Hans will be 5th in the team average.
