SCB
Without a team place in Poland I can't see Hans quitting. Keep calm and stop panicking about something that probably isn't going to happen. If anything Hans will be looking for more racing, not less!
mdmc82
Got a feeling he's packing something up. Poor deal to walk out on any team midseason, especially those that don't run squads.I thought he was riding less leagues this year as mentioned he's not riding in Poland. He wasn't selected in line up to ride in Sweden today with Dackarna (personally think this could be what the message is about although could be wrong) He posted something not long ago that implied he wasn't happy that Danish team have been selecting Larsen over him for test matches so that means his only guaranteed racing is in England. He was only saying a couple of weeks ago that he would like more meetings in the UK and that's why guesting so much. He does seem a bit down at the moment with regards to his problems on track. Needs the fans behind him. Edited May 6, 2015 by mdmc82

Jacques
Really, its like squabbling kids. He likes us more, we like him more... He's struggling with his bikes, he's said that.. There is nothing in that tweet that suggests anything other than he he needs to sort things out. It's not ideal that he's not scoring, but we are still winning meetings and are top of the league atm. So we are able to carry him for now. He's bound to be fed up about it, but apart from one or two idiots he's full of support from Bees fans. It ought not be overlooked that he only lost his mum a month or so ago, so if he's bound to be grieving too..

SCB
It ought not be overlooked that he only lost his mum a month or so ago, so if he's bound to be grieving too.. Thats a good point. I'd imagine with losing his mum and his scoring been pretty pants he's in the perfect place to be feeling pretty rubbish right now. As for those saying "come to Swindon" - the Robins fans would soon get on his back when he scores 2, 3 and 4 and they lose. At least while he's at Coventry he is to some extent protected as his team mates are all covering for him - it'd be far worse if he was at any other club. Falcon Hammer
Looking at Hans Twitter comments - should we be worried about our No 1 Rider? Is he doing too much travelling for his own good? Sounds like he might be considering his future obligations or I am barking up the wrong tree .... ??? Know from experience how tiring it can be with all work & travel - not a good experience I might add. Hope Hans stays with us - form is temporary, class is permanent as they say! Cheers From twitter, seems after so so meeting v Lakeside & then caught up in gridlock on way to Stansted, just getting him down He'll be back to his best soon
Popular Post The Voice Of Reason
Another vote of confidence for one of my favourite riders over the past few years. Hans is the ultimate professional - apart from that time on SKY when he was due out in a race and on 2 minutes, but was sitting in the karsy reading a paper! Made him a 'proper geeza' in my book. Hans is an excellent rider - hard at times but fair. Also, when not racing, a true gentleman. As many of you know, the pits at Lakeside are open pre-7pm; and get very busy with fans. We used to walk fans through what we had to check on bikes - many found it pretty interesting (or so they said!) as we went through the checklist on the parked-up number 2 bikes. One week, a Lakeside supporter, about 7 years old, wanted to sit on Hans's bike; as Andersen was his favourite rider. Checking it out with Hans first, he said "yeah mate course he can, wait there and I'll come and have my picture taken with him". Suffice to say, it made the little lads night. As others have alluded to, Hans is more than likely grieving at the moment for his mother. Moreover, with other family members no doubt back home, there are possibly a lot of emotions going through his mind at this moment in time. For gawd sake, I wish some people would give him a break. He's a human-being; not an automaton.

naffer
Hans is obviously suffering in his set up somewhere, which I am sure he will iron out. In the old days he could have always turn to speedybee ,but I don't think Mick runs to one of those Up the Bees
mdmc82
I noticed Bomber's GP qualifier is 25th May which means he will be missing at home against King's Lynn 😞 I hope Nicholls is booked in advance as it's going to be hard without Harris. mdmc82
@poolespeedway: Fixture News: Poole's visit to Coventry originally scheduled for August 14th has now been brought forward to June 1st Edited May 18, 2015 by mdmc82
mdmc82
It's great to see both Sarjeant & Garrity at the top of the draft lists where they belong. Not so good to see the decline in our top two riders averages esp if we need a guest at anytime. Steady increase for JK, King & Robson. Harris now has a higher average than Hans. mdmc82
Wednesday May 27, 2015 COVENTRY No.1 Hans Andersen faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering a broken finger in Tuesdays Elite League match at Swindon. The Danish star fell heavily in a first-bend incident in Heat 13 and there was general relief at the time when he was able to walk away from an horrific-looking crash. The injury is to the tip of his left ring finger, and Bees will now await news as to his likely period out of action. With the World Cup break coming up, they have only one fixture between now and June 17, that being the big Brandon clash with great rivals Poole on Monday. Manager Gary Havelock said: Ive seen pictures of the X-rays, which dont look pleasant, and all we can do is wish Hans all the best and hope hell be back with us soon. That was very much the attitude of the team after seeing their No.1 get hurt and they showed real spirit again to still get us a point at Swindon after that crash and Jasons (Garrity) disqualification in Heat 14. Guest options for Monday are severely limited with Leicester and Kings Lynn the only Elite League clubs not in action, and both of their No.1 riders averages are too high for them to be eligible to guest.
